I can't quite remember the issue, I think a guy student claimed racism and then blamed TWW for making it worse? It was all over the newspaper and the reason I joined (never paid much attention to TWW before then).


Can someone remember his name or what the issue actually was?

There was a cartoon about this issue. Cannot remember who made it.

Najja Baptist was the dude's name. The cartoon changed his name to Ajjan Methodist IIRC.

No, thats just how i draw cartoon dialogue.

i also posted it under my old and retired alias.

The artwork is not as good as my later work, and my Technician cartoons, but I recall rushing on that cartoon in order to get it out in a timely manner.

This may sound dumb, but I am actually pretty honored that a silly satirical cartoon that I drew back in college from my Wood Hall dorm room, had such an impact at the time, that it is still remembered over 10 years later. Its pretty fucking cool actually. Its like my legacy at NCSU.

I capitalized every word because that is just how i draw cartoons. some cartoonists capitalize every letter in the dialogue bubble, see Calvin and Hobbes.

Dude, I was in a rush to get the cartoon out in a timely manner, who gives a shit about how I wrote the dialogue.

It was, and still is, a damn good satire of the incident, and it had a big impact at the time and people still remember it 11 years later, so Id say I did a pretty good job.
