My brother bought some Scion tc wheels to mount on his WRX, but I can't seem to find any place that sells hubcentric rings to make them work. Does anyone know where I can find some that go from Scion wheel (54.1mm) to Subaru hub (56.1mm)? I'd prefer not to have to take the wheels to a machine shop to bore out the centerbores.

if the hole is too small, I don't see how you can get around boring out the centerwhether or not you do it yourself or take it somewhere is up to youhub centric rings are going to ADD material to the inside of the centerbore, therefore making the hole smaller, correct?

I chopped bigger holes in rims with an angle grinder once. True story.

You'll need to go to a place that installs a ton of aftermarket wheels. Discount tire has them for sure and I'm sure rim time might too.

tell your brother to also get some mag style lug nuts because of the flat surface on the scion wheels (or most newer yota wheels).the lug surface isnt acorn style, plus if i remember correctly, you wont get a lot of thread on the lug nut either its more of a headache than anything. after you bore them, you'll be looking for lug nuts. and you may not find the right ones. the stud holes on the wheels are larger to take the extra thickness of the mag syle lug nut, and if you dont get the exact thickness, it wouldnt be trust worthy. plus scion lugs arent the same thread pattern as the subaru ones. you need this style with the exact dimensions as the scion ones. unless of course you bore the hub out exactly then you dont have to worry about the exact mag dimensions

I got all the information you'll ever need. See my thread here: message_topic.aspx?topic=520946And more details can be found in my posts here (my username on there is genkidama20): http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1251059I like the Scion wheels on my WRX, but I in hindsight, I would have rather just bought aftermarket wheels. Just way too much trouble to go through, and when it's all said and done, it's not like I can say, "Check it out my cool Maserati wheels" or anything like that... I'm about to put them on for the summer, but waiting for the rain to slow down cause my Falken Azenis don't do well in the rain.[Edited on June 4, 2010 at 4:55 PM. Reason : meh]

The mags I bought from eBay were a bit smaller and I didn't trust it during rallycrosses. I bored them myself, and well when yer using them as beater wheels, you're not gonna pay to have them machined. You'll do it yourself and hate it. Hahah. I remember your thread now.
