this certainly deserved its own thread...

I'm betting Obama's service as a community organizer just takes him off the charts for national security, energy and economics reform.Great part about the Obama/Biden ticket is the fact that they don't need any executive experience either. They simply bypassed all that hogwash altogether. Why would you need that? It isn't like the past 5 presidents have had that experience.
9/12/2008 3:07:16 PM
Why McCain is wrong for the future of America, lesson one."Our economy wouldn't survive without the Internet, and cyber-security continues to represent one our most serious national security threats," Pfeiffer said. "It's extraordinary that someone who wants to be our president and our commander in chief doesn't know how to send an e-mail."

whats your point sharp, your presidential candidate doesn't have any executive experience either.

And in that video posted below, he meant 47 not 57. (he had 1 of the 48 contiguous states left to visit, & wasn't going to visit the other 2 yet) A slip of the tongue is far different than having a president who doesn't know how to use a computer in this era.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 3:37 PM. I've never seen so much attn placed a person's VP
9/12/2008 3:36:58 PM
When it is the worst VP pick outside of Spiro Agnew, it deserves scrutiny.
9/12/2008 3:38:14 PM
ok guys here is what the democrat talking points is for the day, go email it to all your friends:obviously he can't send an email. the senate never uses computers, so why would mccain use them?and obama, i bet he could hack this site and crack our passwords, b/c learning how to download porn and clean out your temp folders and browser history is def the best way to get a strategic advantage in a war. i mean, i'm so glad obama learned to hit the send button. mccain couldn't use a computer anyways. his arms dont rise high enough to reach the keyboard. welp, i guess our top generals cant make their decisions without a president running lost in chat rooms all day. palin used ebay. oh wait, that was a lie. there was no plane. it was just benchmarks on a runway with al gore running around claiming to hook up an ethernet chord to those tubes he invented.you guys make so much sense with your funny stories.please sitck to facts next time. let's keep the games out of this.

^^^^perhaps its b/c the republicans don't want the subject to change. In this video a republican spokesperson is asked if its disingenuous for mccain to portray strange-danger education for kids as sex ed for kindergartners, the spokesperson responds by saying the real point is democrats are afraid of palin, and the reporter is like whoa, that's not what we are talking about at all.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 3:42 PM. i wonder if there was a presidential assassination attempt and the president had to personally fly Air Force One to safety...i wonder which candidate would be able to do that?
9/12/2008 3:46:18 PM
The Republicans are the ones who think we are scared, yet when anything is ever brought up they run around and start talking about other things that aren't even germane to the discussion.
9/12/2008 3:49:00 PM
Maybe obama plays Starcraft in his free time. That would certainly more than make up for his battle time strategic planning deficiencies.
9/12/2008 3:49:07 PM
harrison ford. but seriously, only a true maverick would say to hell with keeping up with the times....personal progress is highly overrated.
9/12/2008 3:49:11 PM
^^The generals and officers handle the implementation of a war. President's never do that and McCain if president wouldn't do that either.
9/12/2008 3:50:21 PM
maybe Obama shouldn't rely so much on the Internet...he apparently found a website that said there were 60 states (58 in the continental US)
9/12/2008 3:51:41 PM
9/12/2008 3:58:01 PM
Good god, the republican responses are nothing more than a series of non sequiturs
9/12/2008 3:58:29 PM
trash thread = trash responses
9/12/2008 4:01:41 PM
This thread started with nothing but exactly that nutsmckr. an out of context quote that is not only [old], but you got it.. a series of "non sequiturs" with no context, thanks for pointing out your own flaw for us.Do you take your notes from the dailyshow still?
9/12/2008 4:01:55 PM
Holy fucking hell. Just when you think the republicans can't drop anymore they do.
9/12/2008 4:03:51 PM
are you talking to yourself?
9/12/2008 4:04:22 PM
^lol, McCains senility and blatant disregard of his previous statements/positions is trash, so you're right.
9/12/2008 4:04:51 PM
you don't even respond to threads anymore. You just come in and make you silly little remark and attempt to divert everything away. Stop it.
9/12/2008 4:05:19 PM
When Obama was campaigning did he ever make it to the 58th state? How many electoral votes does the 58th state have? I know Arizona is the 48th, I'm not sure about some of the others though
9/12/2008 4:06:06 PM
9/12/2008 4:06:18 PM
9/12/2008 4:07:04 PM
I wonder, do either of you two actually have something to say on the thread, or are you just going to continue shitting it up with non sequiturs that have nothing to do with the thread.

9/12/2008 4:18:34 PM
The hilarious thing is that they're arguing this hard, yet they've already lost. You guys lost when McCain won the primaries. Now you're simply showing us how incredibly deep your partisan hackery runs.
9/12/2008 4:21:55 PM
^its certainly not partisan hackery for obama fans like yourself to go ahead and act like the election is over?how come the most recent polls have McCain up 48% to 44%? i thought Obama was going to win in a landslide?]
9/12/2008 4:23:23 PM
Let's make it simple for you:John McCain: I am prepared. I need no on-the-job training. I wasn't a mayor for a short period of time. I wasn't a governor for a short period of time. 10.10.07Vice President is a heartbeat away from being PresidentJohn McCain through his own assertion has stated that his running mate is not qualified to be President and therefore not qualified to be Vice President. She doesn't have the foreign policy experience, all she has is being a mayor for a short period and being a governor for a short period of time. It is as simple as that.^you need to check some polls my friend. the bounce is dwindling and the polls that will be released tomorrow with either show them tied or Obama ahead by one point.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 4:27 PM. You're missing the point. How typical. The Point: you and C# are defending a candidate that doesn't even reflect your socially conservative, neocon values simply because he has an (R) after his name. Or because he doesn't have a (D). Either way.
9/12/2008 4:26:22 PM
John McCain supports their neo-con values, probably more than Leo Strauss would.

9/12/2008 4:28:51 PM
not at all. Taht is a quote from Obama the day after he is elected to the Senate saying he isn't interested in running for the Presidency. The McCain quote is from this very election. You aren't even comparing apples and oranges.
9/12/2008 4:31:36 PM
9/12/2008 4:33:06 PM
McCain has a lengthy military and senatorial career.Palin has an out of washington, american experience with a career in executive leadership through governorship of a state with a national guard as well as the micromanagement of being a mayor of a small town. It's like the perfect storm to the democratic ticket: A guy using a pretty face and his celebrity with no experience to make a statement with another old white guy with not even 1/2 the experience of john mccain.
9/12/2008 4:33:33 PM
