These are limited to scripted instances within the context of the movie, so something like "Casting George Clooney as Batman" or "Greenlighting Son of the Mask" won't work. Try to limit it to choices a character made that are just indefensibly stupid.*Lloyd and Harry not getting on the Hawaiian Tropic Bus.*There's a T-Rex 20 feet away who doesn't see you...and then you turn a flashlight on.*Having the first gift of Christmas and getting to choose any present in the world...and picking a bell from Santa's sleigh.what else ya got

Polar Express is a kids movie. Of course the kid is going to pick some sort of heartwarming gift - what did you want him to pick a 65 nano 360?Ratatouille:The rat that cooks has huge hangups over "stealing" trash but doesn't seem to have any problems with going inside someone's home and taking things that haven't been thrown out yet.Spider-man 3:I found it a bit funny/ironic that Harry comes to the conclusion that his father wasn't killed by Spider-man because his butler told him that the wounds came from his glider... then Venom uses Harry's glider to stab him... so it wouldn't be that hard to imagine that Spider-man could have used the glider to stab his dad in a similar fashion. Nah, must have been an accident. That movie was terrible either way.[Edited on November 15, 2007 at 9:56 AM. Reason : -]

Taking Anakin Jar Jar off Tatooine Naboo. When that one guy double-crossed that other guy in Pirates 3In some dumb comedy (I think Saving Silverman) someone breaks a character out of prison and no consequences result from that.

^^^ Fire and move tactics are pretty well known, dingus. That bridge was one of several that they needed to secure in order to protect the invasion, they didn't necessarily need it as a river crossing they just needed to deny the Germans use of it. It was a liability to have light infantry trying to take on tanks. They had been defeated and were about to blow the bridge when the deus ex machina popped up. Hell, engineers could have rigged a bridge over that in a day.

The Ratatouille example doesn't work...Remy long ago resolved himself to the fact that he and his family are thieves, but if they're going to be thieves, he at least wants to steal things that are worth stealing.

in The Descent it was pretty dumb for the main girl bring her friends, who had never been spelunking before, into a completely unexplored cave. It's also a bad idea to be the six hottest spelunkers ever if you're in a horror movie.
