^^The discs will go down in price once the masses pick up a format. Just like DVD's, CD's and so on.

this just in: tech talk trolling on the rise. Ironic since you are the one bitching about it
11/13/2007 1:12:13 PM
Let me know when you decide to live on your own.
11/13/2007 1:38:55 PM
I like living at home with my parents just fine, thanks. Free rent FTW.
11/13/2007 1:47:14 PM
ahahahahha
11/13/2007 1:54:42 PM
Oh, so Golovko posts from his parents' basement???That explains a lot.
11/13/2007 1:57:53 PM
ROFL!
11/13/2007 2:05:35 PM
How else am I going to afford a HD DVD player? I mean seriously.
11/13/2007 2:11:57 PM
Aren't your parents supposed to be extremely wealthy anyway? You probably have a 6000 sq ft house...
11/13/2007 2:15:05 PM
11/13/2007 2:18:19 PM
Good to see that after bitching about Golovko shitting up threads, God and El Nachó are taking it to a whole other level.Maybe this will stop El Nachó from whining so much.
11/13/2007 2:27:20 PM
^don't hold your breath. He wouldn't be el nacho if he stopped whining.
11/13/2007 2:41:26 PM
more like the disks will stay the same price and inflation will eventually make it worth your while.

You have yet to contribute anything in tech talk.
11/13/2007 3:35:54 PM
11/13/2007 3:42:49 PM
50% of your posts are stupid, 50% are whining and stupid.0% are helpful or contributing.
11/13/2007 3:44:14 PM
Thats your opinion. Since I long ago realized that I am intellectually superior to you in every conceivable way, I am not concerned with what you think. You still need to be banned from posting in this section. And I need to be banned from responding to your stupidity. But when part a happens, part b won't be necessary.
11/13/2007 3:46:06 PM
Hmm i'll have to agree with El Nacho on this one. He's been helpful with any questions i've asked. Golovko on the other hand:/message_topic.aspx?topic=499459v

that thread turned into a moderately interesting debate on PC vs Xbox gaming experience. My whole point was I got away from PC gaming so I don't have to deal with the shit you were dealing with on Vista.
11/13/2007 3:50:21 PM
but didn't wal mart and best buy just release a $100 HD dvd player?lol.. the war is over newbs
11/13/2007 3:51:07 PM
^^Yeah but you were the first person to post, and you turned it into that. Not me. I was asking a question about OpenGL, and Directsound.
11/13/2007 3:52:16 PM
I didn't turn it into anything. I said my bit and left it at that. You began the debate by responding with another side to the argument.
11/13/2007 3:54:26 PM
^So you're saying that in a tech thread where i ask a VERY specific question about the OpenGL, and Directsound3d support in Vista, a response like:
11/13/2007 3:56:22 PM
Just logout already.
11/13/2007 3:56:59 PM
^^its not a good response, no. But its not a troll either. Its the simple fact that PC gaming's biggest downside is issues like you were having. Hence why I'm enjoying my console gaming better now that I'm always really busy because I know when I get the game home it will work.Just stating my frustration along with you because I was in that exact same boat not too long ago.[Edited on November 13, 2007 at 4:03 PM. 11/13/2007 4:02:59 PM
its 1080i and i don't think it supports hd audio but yes it will play the disks and will sell like hot cakes to people who are updating for the sake of updating and not for audio/video quality i think i would still rather have a good up converting dvd player than a $100 hd-dvd player.[Edited on November 13, 2007 at 4:04 PM. Reason : (the walmart one)]
11/13/2007 4:04:22 PM
^^Alright that's fair. I usually never have issues with games. It's just since games are moving towards OpenGL some of the older games w/ directsound3d have trouble running surround sound in vista. But if you consider most people probably don't even have 5.1 surround sound with thier 360s or ps3 (atleast most people i know with them don't use surround sound) then it's a little easier/cheaper to get surround sound on a pc.
11/13/2007 4:07:51 PM
^My biggest frustration with PC gaming has always been the sound lock-up/system crash with Counter Strike: Source while playing a game. Its probably one of the biggest issues with the game.
11/13/2007 4:10:06 PM
Where is this mythical $100 HD DVD player?Oh, there it is.http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5723662$230It was a 1-day sale. Stop talking like that's the regular price of HD DVD now. Man, if anything, Toshiba may have fucked themselves because now that the cat's out of the bag, people may refuse to buy an HD DVD player for anything more than $100.[Edited on November 13, 2007 at 4:19 PM. Reason : :]
11/13/2007 4:10:37 PM
^using that logic. Many people will think twice before buying any hi def player more than $100. Blu Ray included. So in fact, again by your way of thinking. HD DVD stands a better chance because their players are priced far closer to the $100 mark than Blu Ray.
11/13/2007 4:23:50 PM
11/13/2007 4:27:12 PM
^ But seriously, who wants a next-gen format HD movie player that doesn't output in 1080p? Ok ok, peopel that don't have 1080p tvs, I know. But still. Definitely a good deal for 100 bucks, damn. All I know is that I'm going to be paying close to $100 bucks for the Die Hard set when it comes out next week. Yes, I am totally pumped for that.
11/13/2007 4:34:09 PM
http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/34650/97/"Just days after it began selling an HD DVD player for less than $200, budget retailer Wal-Mart has announced a sale to take that price down to just $98."here you go fucktards. chew on that
11/13/2007 4:36:38 PM
Who cares? This thread is stupid.
11/13/2007 4:39:33 PM
says the kid who can't afford either format.
11/13/2007 4:39:57 PM
When did I say they would go buy Blu-ray instead? Why do you insist on putting words in my mouth? Keep in mind that Toshiba is the one fighting the uphill battle here. Blu-ray already has the majority the studio support, CE manufacturer support, and user base. A 1-day sale isn't going to change that, regardless of how many players were sold. They need to spark a significant increase in HD DVD players and movies across the board, and I don't think the 1-day sale did that. It was essentially a non-event in this war.
11/13/2007 4:47:07 PM
I really thing that internet bandwidth and computer storage capacity might be growing fast enough to only give us a couple years or so before there is an hd version of Netflix instant view or something similar which would crush them both.[Edited on November 13, 2007 at 4:53 PM. Reason : doh.]
