what does one do?
are window cleaners ok or will the ammonia remove some sort of coating or something?

Microfiber and glasses (optical) cleaner.



or just a soft cloth and water.

Luke warm water on a lint free cloth. Micro fiber works really well. Don't use paper towels, that will scratch the shit out of it. If you wanna get ballsy, put a little bit Isopropyl Alcohol on the cloth, but make sure there is enough water to properly dilute it. You don't want to use any cleaners, they'll fuck up the anti-glare coating.

I use the monster LCD cleaner on my lcds, dlps and iMac. Works great...comes with a microfiber cloth too.

water and isopropyl alcohol, more water than alcohol.. use something really soft and only a little at a time to keep it out of the internals. i've used soft toilet paper, has worked fine several times over the last year

you guys are making this entirely too hard. just spit in on the bitch and wipe it off with whatever you can find that isn't sandpaper

Buying Monster brand cleaner for your screen is like buying Monster cables for.... well, anything really.


That bottle probably just contains expensive water.
