Hi- I did a search and couldn't really find anything.Looking for an apt near Weston Parkway in Cary. (or even a nice apt in Raleigh (close to Cary)/Apex/Morrisville)I don't really want to spend more than $650 a month on rent. One bedroom or two bedroom but I do NOT want something tiny. Currently I live in a 560 sq foot apt and I am so tired of it.I NEED space but I would like an apt w/ a pool (not a must).I have tried all the apt websites and I have found 2 so far that I am going to check out.Suggestions? Thanks![Edited on September 25, 2007 at 3:10 PM. Reason : eh]

The place David and I used to live is like 3 minutes from Weston. http://www.equityapartments.com/market/contact.aspx?PropID=1704Their 1 br places are probably around your range. I think we were paying 750 or something like that for a 2 br. And it has a pool. You're going to be living right next to where I work

I lived at Hermitage @ Beechtree for two years. It's right on Cary Parkway (one street down from Weston). It was pretty good for the price. I'll give you the rundown:Pros- Very nice landscaping. They do a really good job of upkeeping the area.- Nice neighbors. Very quiet. Mostly young professionals and older people. Some families.- Moderately priced. I paid $690/month for a two bedroom/two bath (975 sq. ft.). Moved out cause they were raising rent to $730/month.Cons- VERY VERY slow maintenance service.- Older apartments with traditional layout (this is subjective of course).[Edited on September 25, 2007 at 3:33 PM. ^ is that what it's called now? i lived there before it switched over and really liked it, if i decide to give up on owning houses because their a pain in the ass, i'd move back thereactually i would move back to Landmark Apts since I'm old and nostalgic - and appreciate cultural diversity[Edited on September 25, 2007 at 9:02 PM. In Cary, I doubt you'd be able to find anything for that price.

I live at Waterford Forest Apartments at the corner of Maynard and High House. I pay $800/mo for 2bdrm/2bath 1220 sq ft. The large 1 bdrm is about 850 sq ft and last I heard it was going for 615-620. I've been here 3 years so far, just started my 4th 1-year leaseOh, I love the pool here. Its a good size and it doesn't just look like a hole in the ground.[Edited on September 25, 2007 at 10:31 PM. hidden oaks on maynard about 5 minutes from weston and harrison. 580/ month for a one bedroom. These apts are owned by the same company that owns woodbridge, but its definatly nicer over here.

i grew up off of weston parkway and might move back to my old house within the yearwith that said, with all the new, luxury apartment complexes they've put up within the past 5 years, you can find something MUCH cheaper no more than 5 miles outside of weston pkwyim not sure what the names of them are, but there are a bunch of complexes off of harrison ave. that are priced modestly, those would be your best bet

waterford forest is the answer. some of those other ones are more poorly constructed (noise) and/or more expensive
9/26/2007 2:23:16 AM
there are some actually ON weston pkwy, i forgot the name of them, but they're really nice, i almost lived there.also, preston's reserve on cary pkwy is amazing, i lived there for a while

i live in waterford forest too (corner of high house and maynard) and i really like it hereits about 5 minutes from weston parkwaythe pool is pretty large and nice, it has a small gym and the grounds are kept really well.we have a 2 bedroom and its pretty spacious, also noise apartment to apartment isn't bad. i have heard the people downstairs occasionally at night when all was quiet in our apartment (we turn on a floor fan to cover that up) but i have never heard the neighbors beside us.if you look here and like it, try to see if they have an open apartment facing the woods. we live on the 3rd floor and we open all our windows and all we see is trees... it's much prettier and private than facing the parking lot.also they pay for referrals and if you use my name i'll split the $200 with you good luck!

There's an new complex off of weston called weston lakeside. I live there now but I'm moving out in Oct. Nice amenities and it's right on Lake Crabtree. I pay 1100/mo for a 2BR, but I think they have studios for 650 - 700...Some of the construction was shoddy as is in all apt neighborhoods. But the features are nice... crown molding, granite countertops, black appliances, cherry cabinets...[Edited on September 26, 2007 at 4:14 PM. Reason : .]

psh, you need stainless steel appliances for cherry cabinets

I live in Camden Westwood and can't really recommend it anymore. We lived here a few years back, moved for a better deal, and then moved back when Camden was a better deal again. But our experiance this time has definitely not been as good. 1) Prices have gone way up, Camden used to be priced below average and that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.2) They make you pay for cable, which doesn't matter for us but might to you.3) They make you pay $30 a month for at your door trash pickup. 4) Our current apartment is falling down a hill and they have to move our door latches every few months so that they will close. And we're growing ever larger cracks in the walls.I'd look elsewhere

There are several near weston, I live at Camden Westwood but like the person above would not recommend it anymore due to the stupid valet trash and all. There is the Oaks at Weston which I have heard is nice and if you want right on weston there is Weston Lakeside.

Bexley at Preston!!! My friend lives there ALONE and it's awesome! He pays like $700 for a HUGE 2 bedroom apt that's extremely nice. And the complex is very quiet and peaceful and NICE. Peaceful atmosphere! Hope this helps!! If I was done with school, I'd be out there.

I'm at Bexley at Preston now, I love it. If it wasn't so far from campus I'd renew again, it was the first time I had ever renewed anywhere. I have one on the golf course (Prestonwoods) I can just let my dog run around and throw her ball for her, a couple other people do too but they are never out here at the same time. We walk the golf course some evenings, I feel completely safe, parking's not a problem, maintenance is awesome. I think all Morrisville apartments make you pay for your own water, sewer and trash but it's still cheaper than any Raleigh or Cary apt. I could find when I moved here (and Cary is literally a block away. I'd get third floor though, this place is not soundproof but everyone is relatively quiet. My 1 bedroom was $550 when I moved in, I think they are a little over $600 now.And the $30/month for them to pick up your trash at that one place is ridiculous! Why wouldn't they give you a choice? Weird.Weston Lakeside has a studio for $750 right now, a STUDIO! I loved the place but that is just hilarious. The 1 bedroom they offered me was $825 An elevator isn't THAT great.
10/2/2007 7:50:46 PM
$650 is really low for a 1 bedroom in that area. You could move a little further out and find something cheaper, however.

I lived in a ~800 sqft 1 bedroom on the corner of Cary Pkwy/54... Archstone Preston. Had a decent pool/clubhouse area with grills and everything. Quiet area. Right near Weston Parkway. No complaints. I really liked it...[Edited on October 3, 2007 at 3:06 PM. Reason : it was $505 at the time but normally $560 or so.]

I live in Weston Lakeside, which is def not $650, but for the money they are pretty good. Is $650 with a roommate or without?

I lived at Huntington Athletic Club on the Morrisville Parkway for about a year and a half. It's less than a mile down the road from Legends. It was alright, but we had a leaky roof that they bullshitted us about for a long time before they finally replaced the thing. I think they knew the whole roof was being replaced in ~4 months and they just pretended they weredoing shit about it when in reality they were just hoping it wouldn't rain much.In any case, it was a little cheaper than Legends back then although I'd say that Legends is worth the money if you can get them to price match.http://www.huntingtonathleticclub.com/p.s., be nice to the apartment manager and they'll knock a little off the price if you ask. We talked them down from about $825/month to $785 for a 2 bedroom with washer/dryer and an awesome huge screened in porch.[Edited on October 4, 2007 at 8:32 PM. Reason : l]
