2006 MS Walk April 1st

More than 3,600 people living in the Triangle area are affected with Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that affects the central nervous system. On April 1, 2006, individuals in the Triangle will come together to participate in the annual MS Walk, with a goal to raise more nearly $400,000. This year, I will take part in the walk as part of Team WACK, named in honor of a friend’s sister who was diagnosed last year at the age of 22. My walk team also will be holding several events during the next month.

• Wednesday, March 22 - Coldstone Creamery in Crossroads will donate a portion of the proceeds to Team WACK from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Be sure to tell them you’re there in support of Team WACK.
• Friday, March 22 - La Residence in Chapel Hill will host 80s night, where the $3 cover will go to the walk team. Dress up 80s-style and win up to $25 in gift certificates to the restaurant.
• Monday, April 1 – Ben & Jerry’s in Chapel Hill will donate a portion of its proceeds from 7-9 p.m.
