Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), a business/technology club at Wayne Community College, is sponsoring a fund raiser in the form of a large scale gaming event. Two floors and over 20,000 square feet of floor space will be utilized to bring one of the biggest gaming events ever to eastern North Carolina.
This event is meant to be both fun and educational. We are bringing experts from NCSU, Ubisoft, Virtual Heroes, IGDA, and more to present on topics ranging from game physics and 3d animation to writing dialog, creating plotlines, and even production requirements. College/Business recruiters will be on site exhibiting their programs.
An entire floor will be dedicated to holding tournaments and playing games.
Tickets are $7.00 at the door or only $5.00 if purchased or reserved before the event.
Tickets will be sold in the brickyard Wednesday January 25th from 11am-1:30pm
The tournament is on Tekken 5, we just happen to have a tekken 3 arcade available for freeplay. Our main tournaments are DoA4, Madden 2006, Halo 2, etc. that list keeps growing though as users leave feedback.
Wraith, I am going to message you, email me info@g2expo.com to get a Smash tourny setup. I need to know the interest before I can get the trophies etc setup.
MattyMatt, We are working on a CvS2 and SF Third Strike tournaments.
bad news guys, we won't be able to sell tickets in the brickyard, I didn't realize there was a procedure to go through for that. Sound have known! DUH. If we get approved I'll post another message here about it.
You can still order online and help bypass the extra fees and lines the day of the event!
