Homecoming Parade, today @ 6pm!

Step away from your computer for a few minutes, and walk over to Hillsborough Street for the Homecoming Parade. The parade starts today, Friday at 6pm sharp. Don't miss out on the dance team, cheerleaders, Coaches and players from various NCSU athletic teams and a variety of floats and classic cars. There's even free candy. Don’t miss the fun, spirit and giveaways. GO PACK!

It's always a good idea to block every entrance to a university in the middle of rush hour traffic. I pity anyone that's actually trying to go to their classes.

Key to a good homecoming parade:

1. Bundle up because it is cold outline.
2. Bring a cute kid ( or borrow kids from friend / relative)
3. Sit near the beginning of parade route
4. Have cute kid(s) wave to parade.
5. Get candies and T shirt thrown to the cute kid(s) that you brought along.
6. After parade is over. Give some of the candies you collected to kid(s).
7. Keep the rest of candies, trinkets, t shirt for your self.
8. Repeat at next parade.

To NCSU parade organizers.
Key to a good homecoming parade . i.e. higher audience attendance :
1. Give away the good candies (like chocolate)
2. Give away good T shirts ( like NCSU logo T shirts)
3. Give away raffle tickets ....( I was thinking maybe a raffle ticket (basically a small piece of paper) on which is printed instruction to go to a web site to see if you win any prizes !)
4. Promote what you will give out for parade via emails / flyers
