Carolina Troop Supporters Needs You! America's Network of Troop Supporters is a student-led non-profit organization founded at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in March of 2004. The Carolina Troop Supporters are made up of students not only from UNC Chapel Hill but also from NC State University and other schools. All branches have been founded for the purpose of showing appreciation, care and support to the United States Armed Forces here in this country and especially to those military personnel serving abroad. Sending weekly letters and care packages to soldiers in countries such as Iraq, Liberia, or Korea is among the main objectives of our organization. It is also our goal to increase student and community awareness of military experiences in foreign nations and here in the US. We need new members, and are creating an independent chapter at NCSU if we get enough. There will be an orientation meeting Wednesday September 21.
is the orientation meeting here or in chapel hill? i'm interested in it, but i don't want to go to chapel hill for meetings and events. if someone can let me know where the meeting is taking place, that would be great. thanks!
the first "Orientation" meeting we set up is over there, mainly cause we don't know how many (its just a few friends here at state) are going to join here at state. If we have enough people we can have our own chapter, but until then both friends and I driving anyhow so if you are interested let us know and we will give you a ride. Meetings usually last about an hour or less.
Over the last year i have been amazed by what we have accomplished, and the feedback recieved. Imagine that, a service org that actually does stuff....
its about time...i think we should try organizing some kind of protest against the liberal media here in our backyard. im sick of them hiding all of the great things being done, like this. all they want to talk about is "WMDs" and "suicide bombings". You have to work hard for freedom like this and it takes intelligent people like us to understand this.
you do realize the first thing the iraqis are doing with their "freedom" is handing it over to islamic theists who are the exact same kind of people "our troops" are fighting in the streets
