Protecting “our turf” is what is on the minds of the Senior Class Council this year. Every year campus gets attacked by the Carolina Blue color, days before the NC State-UNC football game, this year things are going to change. The Senior Class Council is sponsoring the first ever Ram Roast, on Thursday, September 22nd in between Turlington and Alexander Halls.
The Ram Roast will be an all night event, to protect our tunnel from being painted that shade of blue that we all despise. Since the tunnel is under construction, we will protect the makeshift free exprssion board which surrounds the tunnel. This event promises to be filled with food, entertainment and a lot of fun. The Ram Roast will kick off with a pig pickin’ then continue all night with a strong line up of events from different campus organizations, including a special visit from the NCSU Football Team. The line up includes the following:
7:30-8:30 -- American Aquarium 8:30-8:45 – NCSU Cheerleaders 8:45-9:30 – The NCSU Football team 9:30-10:00 - NCSU Trivia Competition with surprise gift for winner 10:00-10:30 - Packabelles 12:00 AM- 7:00 AM- Protection of the “Tunnel” 12:00 AM - NCSU Dairy Ice Cream 7:00 AM - Doughnuts
The Ram Roast is welcome to everyone apart of the NCSU community.

So they are going to protect the plywood? I think there are way better things to worry about protecting. But I fully support the roasting & ass whoopin' of any would be tunnel painters.

I say the Ram Roast sounds fun but since painting is not allowed in the "silent tunnels" I say just let the UNC fans come and do their little painting and then get screwed for vandalism.
I think it's a really cool idea. It's a shame the tunnel isn't open for this year, but this could be the start of an awesome tradition with people mingling all down the tunnel in the future.
