NC Electric Wheelchair Hockey league seeks players!

The North Carolina Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association (NCEWHA) was created in 2003 with the mission of creating a quality hockey program for people in North Carolina who require the use of an electric wheelchair in daily life. The Carolina Fury Powerhockey Team marked the beginning of the NCEWHA, and the team has already participated in the 2004 Powerhockey Cup held in Minneapolis.
NCEWHA was created by Jonathan Greeson, a 2004 NCSU graduate in business management who is 22 years old and has Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Jonathan has used his business experiences from class and his internship with the Carolina Hurricanes to establish the NCEWHA and has volunteered his time to get the group nonprofit status.
It is the team’s goal to gain publicity and get more players involved in the game. The team practices in Pikeville, NC, near Goldsboro and is looking for enough people to give the Carolina Fury a complete roster and give the team a chance to win the next Powerhockey Cup. If you or someone you know is in an electric wheelchair and might be interested in participating on the team, or if you are interested in donating to the team, please visit http://www.powerhockey.com/northcarolina/
The team’s next hockey event includes a weekend exhibition game on July 1, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at the Charles B. Aycock High School gym in Pikeville, NC.
Thanks for the support!

i dunno about wheelchair hockey, but i do know that wheelchair (non-electric) basketball is fun to play and watch. it's hard as hell to shoot the ball from a sitting postion while rolling. takes a lot of skill.
