Just on the verge of breaking through against UNC good ol' NC State Basketball does it again. No not Damon Thorton but ANTHONY GRUNDY, was charged with assaulting a female.

What the HELL, with the biggest game of the year coming up something like this happens?. It is hard to believe that Grundy would do something like that, he seems to be the most level-headed person on the team. Our think our players are grea athletes but their actions off the court(if true) are down right petty. We need to go recruit some players with class and morals not thugs. What next will Herb be charged with something??????????
Hang on a minute kiddies, there may be more to this than you know. I don't claim to know all the facts, but here is something from StateFans.com. I hope the below story is true.

Earlier today, it was reported that Anthony Grundy was arrested for assault on a female.
StateFans.com has since learned the rest of the story, and has learned that there is more to it than you might read in the police report. It appears from the facts we have learned that Grundy is not in the wrong, and in fact, that there is not a mark on the female who made the report. Sources have said that Grundy never violently touched the woman in question. In fact, she called the police to try and get Grundy arrested after he left her place of residence, and they declined to do so due to lack of cause. At that time, they told her that she could file a complaint with the magistrate, which automatically results in an arrest, especially in a domestic situation, which the police are justifiably sensitive to. But as the facts appear to stand now, it is highly unlikely that Grundy will ever go to trial. This set of facts also seems to explain the unusual timing reported in the AP story, as the police were called at 6:45 but Grundy was not arrested until 3 a.m. Basketball coach Herb Sendek and AD Lee Fowler are meeting now to discuss the situation, and as of 11:30 this morning we do not expect Grundy to be suspended for tomorrow's game against Carolina unless it is a precautionary matter.
word........man, I feel for him, cause look at the sports thread and how people fucking jumped on his ass for some "alledged" action. I hope he lights UNC up for 50 and then lights that bitch up for a defamtion suit. Again, we dont even know if any of this is true or false. I know he has been the only bball player to keep the passion, and as a fan i must do the same.....
I agree....Grundy sat in front of me during class last semester and he was always nice to me. I don't see it. Don't be slashing him till the entire story is out.
What sucks the big one, is the fact that this accusation takes away from the basketball team's focus on the UNC game. I'm sure that everyone, especially Grundy, is a little caught up in all this bullshit right now.
We'll see how good a coach Sendek is, if he can get everyone refocused and ready to play by 1pm tomorrow.
Look at the pro-UNC news media in action. ESPN hasn't had an article about our team in forever (or at least since Thorton) and all of a sudden at the top of the headlines is Anthony Grundy is arrested. I for one believe the StateFans.com account of it and I think Grundy should be seing his playing time tommorow.

i think we should wait for the facts to completely come out, too, but i agree with crazyNCboy. if that was a carolina player, people here would be jumping all over him.
we are the number one basketball conference in the nation. It could have been orlando melendez.........who knows..all i know, grundy should have called Shaggy...."IT WASNT ME"
(The Men's Rights Guy steps up to the podium...AHEM)
This just shows another flaw in the gender-biased justice system. The man is automatically arrested, even if there isn't a scratch on the woman's body. The phrase "assault on a female" is used as if it's any more reprehensible than assault on a male. Most of all, the male is presumed to be guilty. The justice system needs to move more toward true equality.
Well I wasn't specifically thinking of ESPN, but I bet the boys over at the News and Observer will be all over it like a bunch of rabid...rams. -but who cares anyway, the headline for tommorows game will replace it.
I THINK THAT AG DID NOT DO ANYTHING, IT'S A SETUP. WELL, AG I'M BEHIND YOU 100% JUST PUT YOUR MIND ON THE GAME TOMORROW, YOU WILL BE FINE. GO PACK. SEE YA AT THE GAME.
I don't know though ... it seems to me like somthing had to go on for this girl to call the cops. I mean I am sure that she is just another jealous girl but still something had to take place. Grundy should have thought about it before he decided to take that risk.
