bah that site is a joke. I signed up on a lark and I immediately found the interface to be cumbersome and poorly designed. There are "keywords" but no way to search people by keywords. Most of the "thousands" using the site just signed up for the whole $5 gimmick and NEVER sign on. I still sign in once in a while for the hell of it but do yourself a favor don't waste your time with this crap.

I joined the site before they started the $5 offer but I stopped using it once I realized you have to buy a premium membership to talk to anyone. Oh, and the $5 thing is misleading. You don't get paid until you earn $20.

The fact that CampusFlirts is allowed to post about their site on here for free leads me to believe that TWW is endorsing them. And that in turn would mean that TWW is endorsing the homophobic and discriminatory values that Campus Flirts embodies.

Yes, they paid. The editors talked about whether or not we should post it, considering it was an ad and we don't usually post ads on the front page. We had different opinions, but we decided to post the story. We knew some people might be upset, but we are doing all we can to keep the site cost-effective, and CrazyJ is working on some technical improvements and upgrades for the site. Sorry if this story has offended anyone!

Also, posting this story doesn't mean that TWW "endorses" that site in any way. I don't necessarily agree with other stories that have been posted on the front page either, but we think it's good to encourage free speech that might interest students there!

Sorry that Porn Nation got bumped, but at least that story did get some front page time! We have had TONS of stories submitted this week as you can see from the front page, and we can't guarantee each of the stories lots of front page time or that they will even be posted at all. We are just trying to run as many stories as we can, and the current stories will all be replaced with new stories coming up in the next few days anyway, including the CampusFlirts one. Just keep submitting them!

The issue for me is that this jackass was taking words out of my profile like "w00t" and his reasoning was that if people saw the w00t they would think I was on TWW and try to contact me here instead of on his lame site. So I can't help but find it ironic that this guy would come back to TWW to advertise when he doesn't want there to be any association of TWW and his site.

As long as he paid for his advertisement thats fine, I know TWW needs to make money and I understand that.

Seriously, you are making a big to do over nothing. If TWW owners need to include "advertising" on the mian page to help offset some of the costs of running this site, so be it. Of couse, if a whole lot more would cough up a few more $ and go premium, you might solve the need to them to figure out ways to get a few more bucks to help pay for this thing.
