Texas Hold'em Tournament Style (no limit) Tuesday Oct. 12th 6-10pm Talley Walnut Room Buy-in is only $5! Prizes for the top three winners 1st Place - $60 Gift Certificate to Crabtree Valley Mall 2nd Place - $30 Gift Certificate to Crabtree Valley Mall 3rd Place - $20 Gift Certificate to Crabtree Valley Mall Plus extra prizes for other finishers!
So this is legal because you aren't giving away cash prizes but rather gift certificates? Also, are there beverages provided, or is it byob so to speak? How is the game going to be offciated? Is there a 'house' rake taken by each sponser? I guess I'm just interested in what type of tournment this is going to be. I've played poker with as few as 3 other people that lasted 4 hours. 90 people ion that amount of time is unreasonable.
This is a Texas Hold'em Tournament, there will be X number of tables, and as people are knocked out the tables will be combined, until we have a final table. The house isn't taking a rake, as this is not a cash game but rather a tournament. I'm not sure about beverages yet, we're working on that. The blinds will be raised as needed to ensure the tournament is done at a reasonable hour.
What exactly is the law for gambling in NC? I mean is there something specific that you have to do to be able to host this? Id be interested to read something more about it.....
btw ill be out there tonight taking all you'lls money
