The North Carolina State University Union Activities Board (UAB) hosts its third annual Red & White Charity Ball after experiencing great success with the event for the past two years.
As the only formal event open to ALL NCSU students, the Red & White Charity Ball will be held at the Sheraton Capital Center in downtown Raleigh on Friday, April 23, 2004 from 9:00pm to 1:00 am. The UAB invites students to attend this event wearing formal clothing from all cultures. Even though tuxedos are not required, the majority of the male students who attend choose to wear them for this special occasion. The female attendees dress in elegant gowns to complete the enchanted night; all for a good cause.
This year’s ball benefits two charities: the Wolfpack Student Initiative (WSI) and the Student Global AIDS Campaign (SGAC).
With all proceeds going to these charitable organizations, students are only asked to donate three non-perishable food items in exchange for admittance to the event. Non-NCSU students are invited to attend for just $20.00.
Tickets to this year’s Charity Ball should be available for distribution starting Wednesday, March 29 in the afternoons at Witherspoon Student Center’s Ticket Office. Students must present their valid NCSU ID along with their donation items when picking up their tickets.
