"Upon multiple occasions during my time here at State, I have nearly been forced to leave the University due to cost."
"Even with financial aid, it is quite a stretch for me to handle the added expenses of college on one salary."
"I have reached my limit, even with financial assistance, with the amount I can pay for my daughter's education"
These are the stories of NC State students--your friends, your classmates or perhaps even yourself--who have struggled to deal with increasing tuition. But those are just stories, now we need people to see the faces behind them.
This Friday, the Board of Governors will make their decision regarding tuition increases for next year. Current proposals range from a 2 percent increase (~$60) to a $300 increase to a $1,500 out-of-state increase or maybe all of the above. Be a part of the fight--put your face in the crowd when it really matters.
