NCSU football is about to kick off another season! TWW participated in the block seating system for the 2001 and 2002 seasons. Overall it was an awesome experience for all TWWers that took part. We are planning to do it again for the upcoming 2003 season! Things are going to be run and organized pretty much the same way as last year. To ensure your spot and a chance for a ticket in a TWW block to every home game, go to our Block Seating Sign-Up page and provide the requested information. Winning block seating tickets will be distributed on campus. For further details including the rules and regulations of block seating go here and here. Please familiarize yourself with the system before signing up!
Take note: - Tickets are never guaranteed. It depends on whether the block containing your information is a winning block. (FYI the TWW block won every time that it was submitted last year!) - Block seating is one of the two student distribution methods.
Lets have fun together this season TWW! SIGN UP NOW for the Western Carolina game on August 30th at 6PM!!!!

Please note that the online system for this year hasn't been finalized yet. After tomorrow (Wednesday's) Campus Community Committee meeting, exact methods of block seating will be more clear. Most likely, the birthday and last 4 ssn digits won't be needed for the online system. It is however possible that the WCU block seating might have to be done pen-and-paper/disk, 2001 style, which might cause some changes in the information required to verify students. Sorry for any trouble, and look out for annoucements on tickets.ncsu.edu and the ticket listserv.

wow! you guys are awesome. we are going to have one rocking block!
this is the email I recieved last night from Student Senate
Hello Wolfpackers!
As we look forward to another successful football season, we have made some changes to our procedures and policy. Voucher Distribution will be the same as last year, but we have changed the dates to a Tuesday/Wednesday Distribution. Vouchers will normally be distributed on Tuesday on the week of the game and Tickets to those with winning vouchers on the next day. The only exception will be Uconn because of Fall Break. Everything for the Uconn game will occur one school day earlier (including block seating). Voucher Distribution dates can be found at http://tickets.ncsu.edu.
Now as for block seating, we have made several changes to provide a more efficient and secure system. As many of you know, the University will no longer use SSN as a means to identify students by the end of this calendar year. Thus, we have modified our block seating system. We will now only require the unityid of students who want to be in a block. Once a group leader enters all the unityid of the members of the group, an email will be sent to everyone at their unity email account (unityid@ncsu.edu) which can be checked at http://webmail.ncsu.edu. The email will contain a link to authenticate a user to a group. If the member does not authenticate, the block seating size (and guest tickets, if applicable) will be adjusted accordingly. However, since this system is not fully functional at this moment, a modified program will be used for the Western Carolina game ONLY. We will not be sending authentication emails to everyone. Although, all members will receive a notification, only some will receive a manual authentication letter. Group leaders who are found to use a unityid without expressed consent will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct. We strongly recommend that all group leaders for the Western Carolina game collect unityid and their signatures. These signature sheets must be available upon request.
BLOCK SEATING FOR WESTERN CAROLINA WILL START SOMETIME THURSDAY 8/21. PLEASE CHECK HTTP://TICKETS.NCSU.EDU.
Also, the price of guest tickets have increased to $25.
I am running the block seating. Here are a few additional TWW regulations i forgot to add.
- Once you sign up for TWW block seating you are permantely on the list for every game! If you wish not to participate in the block seating for a particular game you need to TWW email nasteeerr before the lists are due telling her that you wish to be removed (please give her your information that allows her to take you off the list- your unity ID / birthdate/ last 4 digits of SS#. Once you are removed you must sign up for TWW block seating again to be eligible for any future games. - The winning names will be posted on TWW ASAP. Along with the names will be posted times for ticket pickup. - In order to recieve your winning tickets you will need to bring your NCSU student ID to present to the TWW ticket distributors.
i had some trouble last year of some users submitted information not working. since their name didn't go through they were not eligible for a ticket. if your information does not go through i'm sorry it is not my responsibility- b/c i really don't have time to deal with it. in other words please make sure all your submitted information is correct.
Hey guys! I'm in charge of voucher distribution for tickets this year. To answer the above question regarding block seating...once the email verifications go out after the WCU game as we don't have enough time right now to get that system into place, there will be an option to stay on block seating for the whole year or just for that one game. Also keep in mind that since there will be no email verifications for the WCU game, the group leaders will need to get the signatures from each participant beside their unity id and turn it in with the print-out and guest ticket money on Monday at the Athletic Office (map is on the ticket website). This is to ensure that all block seating group members have given their consent to participate and will also help to keep the blame off the group leaders if someone comes up to the voucher window complaining about not being able to get a voucher due to being on a block seating list.
so how big of a chance do we have of getting tickets? I mean if we get a lot of people signed up thru this then there will be a good chance we won't get tickets...am i right?
for all the people that signed up for the Western Carolina game: sorry i was not able to submitt our block. signatures were required for the first game from everyone on the block- for TWW that was just not going to work. if someone for some reason changed their mind then it was my ass on the line and i don't really have time to deal with something like that. so for anyone who signed up for the block your unity ID has not yet been submitted so you can still pick up a voucher for the Western Carolina game. sorry for the inconvience- when i submitted the story the first day of school i thought the policy would be the same for this year- but of course student government is changing things around on me . TWW block seating will be in effect for every other home game this year. student government will have there new policy up and running from here on out. once again i'm really sorry. but everyone go pick up your vouchers so we can fill up for the first game of the season
For those that want normal vouchers, heres the info from the ticket website
Vouchers Tuesday (8/26) – Voucher Distribution from 10AM to 6PM Wednesday (8/27) – Ticket Distribution from 10AM to 6PM (or earlier if done) Thursday (8/28) – Remaining Tickets Distributed starting at 10AM
if you have signed up for TWW you will not have to sign up again. for the next game you will have the option through an email sent to you by the university of whether or not you would like to participate in TWW block seating for that particular game. that is the new system - so the group leader cannot be blamed for putting someone on the list that did not want to be on it. in the past students complained that they could not get vouchers b/c their ID had already been used. student government really couldn't place blame either the student or group leader- so they devised a system in order to hopefully eliminate that from happening
