NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault Announces First Annual Benefit SWING! Dance Craze 2003

The North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NCCASA) is holding the benefit event SWING! Dance Craze 2003 featuring music by award-winning Cigar Store Indians and popular local band The Straight 8s. Music & Dance Productions will give free dance lessons and performances starting at 5:15pm. There will be classic cars from Rod-A Rama & The Hell Benders as well as custom motorcycles on display. At 5:45 a ride for charity sponsored by Ray Price Harley Davidson of Raleigh will come roaring in followed by Elvis! Elvis will be available for pictures with his Harley and will perform with the Cigar Store Indians. There will be food, prizes and fun for all ages.
The benefit event is on Sat. August 2, 2003 from 5pm-9pm and is open to the public. SWING! Dance Craze 2003 will be held in downtown Cary at the Herbert C. Young Community Center, 404 N. Academy St. Cary, NC. The cost is as follows: General Admission-$15; Pre-sale/Members-$10; Children Under 12-$5. NCCASA is an inclusive statewide alliance working to end sexual violence through education, advocacy, and legislation. Ticket information is available at www.nccasa.org .

i heard wufpackcutie is gonna be the the NCSU student respresentative for this event, she will also talk about her personal experience with sexual assault and how she dealt with it and what she has learned from it.
The Cigar Store Indians are a cool band. In my opinion, they are sort of a blend between swing, rock, and a touch of country. It is worth going to the event just to hear them. If you are interested in Harleys, I hear that some of the prizes were donated by Ray Price...who knows... Anyone interested in tickets can also PM me.
