Ready...Set...POE!

Be sure to register for one of the Ready...Set...POE! Sunset 5K and Family Festival benefitting the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education.

The events will take place Sunday, August 24th, at the Shops of Cameron Village. All are invited to participate in this afternoon of fun and fitness, from the competitive runner to those who just want to have a great time for a great cause.

The evening begins at 5:30 pm, and the featured races begin at 6:30 pm. For those in the competitive spirit, there will be officially recorded times and prizes to age/gender group winners. You may also choose to participate in the race as a recreational runner/walker. All participants will receive a T-Shirt. There will be a band and food provided to help make the event an evening in celebration of the great things the Poe Health Center has accomplished for the community.

Entry fees for races depend on the type of race you sign up for. All other activities are free and open to the public. The deadline for online registration ends on August 21st at 5 pm. Register in person at the Athlete’s Foot on 2035 Cameron Street in Cameron Village on Saturday afternoon, August 23rd from 3-6 p.m. You may also enter on the day of the race at the start/finish area beginning at 4 p.m. To get more information or to register please visit here.
