James has done an outstanding job as Union President and is more than qualified for the job. His opponent has NO Experence, NO plan for the future, and NO chance of doing the job as well as James.
more than one vote CAN come in from the same IP address but not from the same unity ID. If two people want to vote from the same IP, no problem.... just make sure the first person closes their browser so that the second person will have to authenticate... it will then work. -Mark Board of Elections, voting server admin.
^ i see that you're the voting server administrater... then perhaps you can explain how, after restarting my computer after voting, Crystallia wasn't able to log in, and how it says "ip logged" when i go to the voter screen
If any of you candidates are reading this, DO NOT GO TO MY PLACE OF RESIDENCE ASKING ME TO VOTE FOR YOU. YOU WILL NOT WIN VOTES, YOU WILL LOSE THEM. Do all the campaigning you want ON CAMPUS. Someone lost a vote yesterday.
Yeah my roommates said that Amanda came by Centennial Ridge and the Abbey while I was at work. That's the first time I remember any mention of any SBP candidate going that far.
but why when only 10% of students live on main campus? It doesnt make any campaign sense. its not our fault no one votes in this school and we have to come up with ways to get to you. and trust me its not like we really want to disturb you at nite, espicially when its 10 degrees out
but atleast you are going to vote and thats good enough for me.

I believe the point is that ALL students at some point come on campus, it doesn't matter that all don't live on campus....you have the opportunity to reach everyone on campus
the results will be announced tomorrow evening and then hopefully printed in Thursday's paper.
Pretty much, we'll find out who makes the runoff tomorrow in the Student Body President and most likely Student Senate President races...the others are pretty clear cut, so they'll definitely be in the Thursday paper
I'll be covering the article on who wins in the Technician, so it should be out on Thursday, unless the elections are not certified early enough tomorrow night...
and btw, it's pretty shaddy how the technician staff is going against the technician article backing devore...I am not condemning your members for doing so, but whoever approved that article...why would y'all do such a thing when even your co-editor says it's not a good idea?
^ I think the co-editor you're talking about was the co-editor before this set of co-editors came in...they just got new ones last week, which were the ones that endorsed Amanda...
I'm not directly involved with Technician, so that's it from me about Technician
The Board of Elections will review the results, tabulate them, and hear petitions Wednesday at 6:30 in the Judicial Board Room in Witherspoon. This meeting is expected to last quite a while.
Thanks to everyone who voted! From the preliminary numbers, the voter turnout was quite good this year
No, the people that are the current editors voted, but the people that are on their staffs may not agree with them. However, the editors that voted all agreed on the candidate they chose to endorse...just to clarify since I'm the Assistant News Editor now...
I would like to thank everyone who voted and those of you who spoke highly of me in here! I don't post often, but I do read posts frequently and it was very uplifting to see. I hope some of that support and maybe more can carry into next week! Let Run-off time begin!
