Windhover Music Compilation!!

This year's Windhover, NCSU's Art and Literary publication, will include a CD of original music by students, faculty, staff, and alumni of NC State. 3,000 discs will be pressed and distributed with the Windhover publication for free to the NCSU community! The CD will be approximately 72 minutes long, so it will include around 15 songs that were submitted.

Artists who submit work retain all of their rights. The CD is being distributed for free as a companion piece to the Windhover. The biggest criteria that the entries will be judged on is originality and/or experimentation. We want all types of music and sound. Feel free to contribute recorded conversations, even traffic noise, the sound of one hand clapping!

To submit your music, please deliver CDs (no tapes) to the Windhover office in 314 Witherspoon Student Center, NCSU, Raleigh, NC 27695. Label entries "Windhover Music" and include your name and contact information.

Deadline for submission of CDs is March 15, 2003!

Definitely! We're looking for a wide variety of styles. So far we've got rock, electronic, sound collage, rap, indie, folk. Elaborate jam sessions. Introspective-headphone-dorm-room composers. Somebody submitted cat noises. just make sure that it's an original composition.
