This Sunday, NC State students and recent alums will hoop it up with a team of "all-stars" from K97.5. Come out to Reynolds Coliseum at 4 p.m. to see NCSU prime time ballers--Koren Robinson, Anthony Grundy, Archie Miller, Talisha Scates, Darryl Willie, Andrew Payne, and others--represent the Wolfpack.
Tickets are available at NCSU Ticket Central for $3. All proceeds will go to benefit the Jimmy V Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Wolfpack Student Inititative.
I'm really disappointed that Miller and K-Rob didn't show. It was a charity event! It's also odd that they gave us our money back. The guy I talked to said something about them not wanting to take money if they weren't going to make much, but that didn't make any sense to me. While it was decent for the price, I'm still disappointed by how the whole thing turned out.
I had fun, though I was disappointed that K-Rob didn't bother showing up.
The UAB guy came to me and wanted to give me my money back too because they were going to make a contribution to the charities instead. Money for the Jimmy V Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Wolfpack Student Inititative? You can have my three bucks?
would someone explain those last two comments - specifically: 1) did they charge for admission? 2) did uab say they were going to give away their student fees which are designated solely for programming to charity?
i'm also interested in: how many attended? who actually planned/executed/publicized the event? was it indoors?
