All right y’all. Who’s ready for final exams? This is supposed to be “Dead Week”. What’s so dead about it? There is a rule that professors aren’t allowed to give tests, quizzes, or require papers due during “dead week”. Read the academic regulations here.
No Major Tests In Final Week Of Classes so that students may complete semester projects, take lab tests, and prepare for final examinations. Faculty members shall not give any tests or quizzes or assign any additional papers or projects during the final week of classes. Assignments should not have due dates during final exam week unless the assignments comprise part of the final examination. Exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance by the department head and the dean of the college involved.
So why does everybody still have work to do?
Getting and A? or an F? Do you have questions about grading?
Here’s how to compute your GPA:
The number of credit hours attempted in a semester or summer session (for which regular grades are received) is divided into the total number of grade points earned to arrive at the grade point average. Effective for all students and for all courses taken during or after Fall 1998, the cumulative and semester Grade Point Averages will include the effect of any A+ grades awarded (at 4 1/3 grade points) up to a grade point average of 4.000. The grade point average will be calculated to three decimal points.
Find more answers to your grading questions in the Academic Policies.
Good luck everybody, you’re going to need it :)
