Maker Faire:NC is a "Mini" Maker Faire and is North Carolina’s celebration of everything made. We aim to bring all the enthusiasm and all the fun on a slightly smaller scale. Every year at Maker Faire North Carolina Makers, Crafters, Inventors, Evil Geniuses, Scientists and Artists come together for a day of family-friendly fun and inspiration. From home-made cookies to home-made robots, Maker Faire: NC promises something for everyone in a showcase of the American creative spirit.
Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.
Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds. Maker Faire’s mission is to entertain, inform, connect and inspire these thousands of Makers and aspiring Makers.
Some of the guys I work with were talking about going to this. One, in particular, build his own CNC Machine and was pissed he wasn't able to make it this weekend - esp after being friends with one of the organizers.
