On September 25th from 1pm to 10pm, Raleigh is closing down 8 blocks of Hillsborough Street for a FREE festival celebrating the newly-revitalized street! Featuring:
* Music * Vendors * Beer Garden * Pig'N'Pie Cook-off * Alternative Fuel Vehicle Showcase * Whole Food's Organic Iron Chef Competition * Bruegger's Farmer's Market * Children's Venue including dunking booth and petting zoo * Parade and Formal Unveiling Ceremony
Legacy Event Planners, the Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation (HSCSC), NC State University and the City of Raleigh are joining forces to host the Live It Up! On Hillsborough Street Festival, an all day eco-friendly festival that will kick off the unveiling of the street after a lengthy re-construction.
PROCEEDS ARE GOING TO CHARITY! Including: Engineers Without Borders, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and more. There will be several non-profits on the street raising awareness and funds including Latta House
Live music by: Holy Ghost Tent Revival Crowfield Dune Dogs Milagro Saints Funkuponya Kevin Lee Band Philip Mancuso Zegg Amateurs Wax Planet New King Rippers Kenny Shore & the Pheromones
