Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program is currently recruiting volunteers for its 2010-2011 seasons. Helping Horse is Wake County's premier therapeutic riding program since 1989. We are a certified non-profit, wholly volunteer operated organization dependent on the charitable support of locally interested individuals and businesses. Helping Horse offers riding instruction to physically, mentally, and/or emotionally disabled persons of all ages in Wake County and surrounding areas. Currently the program enrolls more than 30 disabled individuals. If you are interested in serving your community, have experience with horses, and have a passion for those who are physically or mentally challenged you can reach our Volunteer Coordinator at helpinghorse@gmail.com
We have New Volunteer Orientation coming up August 22-23rd sign up by emailing us your information or with questions. We accept individuals or groups. Lessons are held Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, from 6-8PM, Saturdays 10-12 and Sun 4-6PM.
