TWW Free Expression Tunnel Painting

The time has come to recruit some new users. We'll be painting the Free Expression Tunnel on Tuesday, August 18th at around 9 pm. This is the night before the first day of classes. No, the first day of classes doesn't matter and it'll be just fine if you're tired from staying up to paint the tunnel. Everyone is invited. Paint and supplies will be provided for free, but you're welcome to bring anything you think will help (rollers, brushes, spray paint, stencils, etc.).

Afterwards, we'll head to Ruckus for $2.50 premium bottles. They have also kindly offered to give us a deal on pizza if we show up with enough folks.

So, put on your painting clothes and help us get some young blood on this site.

i haven't seen a TWW thing on campus since freshman year when I heard about it. That was 2001

How about we get a site that loads at least 50% of the time before convincing new people to join?


Actually, I do like this idea... I won't be attending b/c I live over half an hour away, but it would be nice to add some fresh perspectives to this site.

^well there is a chance that if more people visit the site and more money starts coming in to the owner, then they will start giving a shit about the site again and fix some stuff.

Right before the first day of classes... Surely that won't be painted over by a bunch of half-tunnel sized advertisements before any actual students get the chance to see it!


I'm down with the idea, but I can't hep but think that anything painted that night will be lucky if it gets seen by much of anyone the next day.

print up some flyers

you can't paint over those

well you can, but it's more likely they'd remain intact than painting the wall

The paint is thick enough that you can stapple fliers to the walls, FYI.
Also, slightly wet paint makes a decent glue.

I joined TWW because of an advertisement I saw in the Freedom of Expression tunnel.... I think in 2002. It was http://www.brentroad.com at the time. I don't know what I'd do with my internet time if it wasn't for happening to see the link.

i miss the tunnel. i always hated how everyone walked super fast through it between classes. wish i would have seen the tww painting irl.
