Come out this Friday to help celebrate the grand opening of Tough Love Boutique, a new Hillsborough street business whose mission is to offer and showcase local, independent, and unique designers. Tough Love offers a variety of styles and designs ranging from hip tees to handmade dresses. The shop is located at 3114 Hillsborough Street, directly next to Pantana Bob’s pool hall, across the street from PB’s.
DJ Merlin, one of Raleigh's best, will be spinning records and Green Planet will be catering the event with completely organic food and wine. The event runs from 7-9pm, this Friday, May 23.There will be an after party at Five Star downtown. The event is free and open to everyone, so bring your friends out for a great time!

they have a dress there that makes me look like a size 4, if i had $100 i would have totally bought it
did anyone go last weekend? I wanted to stop by but had prior plans. And btw they have these great uber soft t-shirts there that are great and cheap <3
It'll probably fold within a year. Clothing stores don't make it on Hillsborough Street. Students don't have the money for boutique clothes and the people who do have money won't come to such a seedy location.
Actually, raleighboy, Tough Love's prices are really reasonable...lots of the items are definitely within a student's budget. Some of the t-shirts Jen mentioned are around $10 I think? I'm one of the local designers and my clothing sells for between $20 and $50.
