Student Fee Referenda: October 1 & 2 --We want you, to VOTE!!

For the first time in N.C. State's history, every single student will have an opportunity to weigh in *directly* about each of the 8 proposed fee increases currently being considered by the University.
And by "every single student" I specifically mean YOU.
This Monday and Tuesday, October 1st and 2nd, take a couple minutes out of your day and go to http://vote.ncsu.edu/ -- each and every proposed fee increase is there online, including links to supplemental information so you can make an informed vote.
Your opinion is important to us, and it's important to this University. It's your campus, it's your money -- now it's your chance to speak up and have your voice heard!
Can we vote not to waste money to have fucking video games in the library right next to computers... SOME PEOPLE have work to do and no computer... and hearing the "strum" of guitar hero is annoying as fuck. Also, isnt that is what the video games in the Wolves den is for?
Or maybe we should waste money on buses that are fly, but have less seating...
OH WAIT... Now I know why they need more.. they are too busy pissing away what we ALREADY give them.

what a whiny fuck. maybe some people after 5 hours of studying want to relax and play around a later without walking across campus or back to their own place.
I am sure the library has some spot in its 10 stories and 3 different wings to accommodate your silent study needs
^not a whiny fuck, just don't like MY money being WASTED, especially when they are constantly begging for more. Sorry.
Not against video games at all... but its stupid to put in the middle of the library, perhaps a lounge in the library? It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to realize that the PRIMARY function of a library is to study.
^ I'm in complete agreement. I'm not against a video game system, just don't put it all up in the middle of everything.
What would have been nice with the multi-million dollar renovation would have been ..... a student lounge. With some tv's, the video game system, and vending machines. As of now they are all spread out into three completely separate areas, and there is no place to necessarily "hang out" or take a break from studying and homework.

^^ Agreed, although I'm mostly disappointed in the fee-hiking zeal of the 2 student reps appointed by the Student Body President (neither of whom will actually have to pay the fees they've voted to increase) -- I think everyone already expected the 5 Administrators on the board to increase fees the maximum possible
It just gives me a list of improvements to make for this process next year. I'm hoping to videotape the Fee Advisory Committee presentations the Administration was harping about, and then embed YouTube links of the video directly into the ballot so no one can claim students didn't hear the presentations.
And hopefully we'll figure out a way to get even higher turnout.
Basically Student Health turned out the best, Intercollegiate Athletics the worst, and the rest were split all over the place.
I'm working on taking a PowerPoint presentation of the results I made for the Fee Advisory Committee and HTMLizing them for reproduction here and on Facebook. God willing I'll have that done by the end of the week. Until then, you can access the PowerPoint here: http://www.studentsenate.net/fee_referenda/Fee%20Referenda%20Results.ppt
