A sincere thank you for all you've done for the students here at NC State.
Your student-focused dedication has helped untold number of students be successful in the face of a seemingly uncaring administration - one whose main concern often times seems to be thoughtlessly perpetuating their own structures. You have always known who your customers are, and you have been a fierce advocate for students facing a myriad of rules and procedures. Often, you been the only source for impartial help.
I can only speak for myself, but your dedication and advice has been a major influence in my educational success. The students are losing a great advocate and friend, and the administration is losing a great asset. I can only express my appreciation and wish you all the best in future endeavors. Your caring attitude will benefit any organization, and that is something that can not be purchased, at any price.
Sincerely,
BoBo

Basically where I am today...because of her... she gave me the knowledge, the time of day, and the information to get my degree and help me on my career path.
For this, I thank you... I came to you because I heard that you actually cared... and you showed it.. I appreciate it Wolfeee
I've been graduated for years now, but I have definitely taken advantage of wolfeee's wealth of knowledge in the past. You are awesome, and NCSU is going to miss you, no doubt. Good luck to you!
I do want to say my thanks to wolfee for helping be out during a really tough time in my college career. She gave me some great advice...I really feel bad for future students who won't have her to look out for them.
Thank you all for your kind comments (especially drunknloaded and jakimel) "J" does not know me, and I certainly don't know him. What he shows us is the beauty and the ugliness of the WolfWeb. Its beauty is that it is an open forum and allows free speech. Its ugliness is that some people can hide behind their computers and just issue feelings and words of hate just to do so- even when they do not know a person. They are weak and just want to see if they can get a rise out of someone and most of all, get some attention for themselves.
Life is too short for such hate. Where would we all be in this world if instead of feelings of hate and ugliness we simply showed love and kindness for others? Doesn't mean you have to be soft or mushy, but what if we were simply decent and kind to each other - whether face to face or from behind a computer? Would there be fighting overseas? Would there be car bombs? Would there be fools like this person? No.
You all also need take a moment to consider this type of comment on the faculty and staff that post on TWW. There are not many of us. We are the ones who step outside the confines of offices and bureaucracies to meet you where you are. We come out here because we want to help you and by helping any one of you in a public forum, we also help many others in the same situation. Unfounded comments like those above and the photoshoping of faculty will chase us back behind our office doors where we will only talk to you on our turf and only by appointment. It will be harder for you to get help and certainly a lot less convenient. At some point, forums of free speech require maturity and decency. If not, the well intended participants will leave and you will be left with just the haters. So what do you want? Its up to you to decide.
I have helped 1000 students via TWW over the last few years. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and have enjoyed working with each of you. Perhaps if J wants to meet for a coffee somewhere, we can make it 1001.
