Ram Roast: Protect the Tunnel, Feb 1st

submitted by SenClassPres on Tuesday, January 30 2007 at 12:10 PM

The Ram Roast is being held this Thursday, Feb. 1st from 8pm-7am in front of the Free Expression Tunnel on the Turlington & Alexander side. Come out for some free food and make sure our Tunnel doesn't get painted Carolina blue.

All you have to do is stay for one 3 hour shift to receive a ticket to the UNC vs. NCSU basketball game. The tickets are in section 113 (lower level). The shifts for the Ram Roast are 10pm-1am, 1am-4am, and 4am-7am.

There will be a pep rally with several basketball players, the band, and free food from 8pm-10pm. Come out around 8pm to sign up for a shift because they will be capped at around 40 students.

Here is a link to the facebook event if you want to be updated on the event and see a full schedule: http://ncst.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2227573862

Don't put any DZ's in charge of this. They suck at protecting tunnels.

Due to inclement weather the agenda for the Ram Roast has been modified for tonight. The pep rally has been cancelled and students are no longer required to stay for a shift to receive a ticket. The first 120 students to come out starting at 8pm will receive a ticket to the game. We will be next to the bookstore on the same side as the Free Expression Tunnel. Once you receive your ticket you are still invited to stay and guard the Tunnel with the Senior Class Board of Trustees but you are no longer required due to concerns over student safety and health.

there are plenty of students that would gladly stay out for a shift no matter what the weather

bring back this no matter what the weather, and it sounds like a great tradition

that kind of pussification makes me think you had some sympathizers on your hands ... anyone who was truly a fan and could be there would be regardless, and besides the "ice" was all rain before noon in most areas.
