"The NCSU Marching Band will be having an all day (6:30 am - 10:00 pm) fundraiser at the Chick-fil-a at Crossroads in Cary on Thursday, November 16th. The Marching Band will receive 20% of all purchases that are made with the attached flyer. Please print the flyer and come out and support the NCSU Power Sound of the South!! "
^^We can't afford new uniforms you buffoon. We can't even afford a new roof for our building. We get close to zero money from the university as it is compared to other groups.
If you're into helping the music department, and want to see some fellow NCSUers playing, or just want to see a concert, this might be worth going to. I've got family in town who will be going to see this.
yeah the band uniforms were purchased new about 2 years before they decided on the logo change back to the block S. The ones before had been around for YEARS, so I wouldnt count on any changes in uniform anytime soon. Band uniforms are made to last, so they're very expensive. To the tune of a 5 figure purchase... plus you have to account on near-correct sizes for 200-300 people. When I was in band, the closest size I could get left my pants looking like high-waters because they didn't have anymore of the super-long ones. I'm only 6'1", so not quite a giant, either.
