CrazyJ and Joe, I know that this site costs both of yall time and money, and that yall actually lose money on it. The recent influx of stupid padding should serve as a warning: Asses now think it is funny to get suspended for padding and being an ass. I personally love this site, and I hope it stays up a LONG time. That is why I became premium, to give at least a little back to you guys for what you give to the NCSU community. I don't want to see you guys take this site down because it takes up so much time and money. Most recently, in only 2 days, both IcedAlexV and jephthah have run amock, prompting some people to call for new moderators. How much time has it taken you to delete all their stupid ass padding? This time is only going to increase as more users or new users start being asses, trying to get suspended. Creating new mods might make suspending these idiots easier and faster, but it still doesn't solve the problem. To that end, I think you should be MORE strict with people trying to get suspended. I think you should TERMINATE anyone who tries to get suspended, or who repeatedly posts pictures or posts simply to be annoying. This will send a CLEAR message that such behavior won't be tollerated. It will serve as a warning to would-be-asses not to engage in such behavior. And, it will remove undesirables from the board. If someone who gets terminated wants to rejoin, they can pay you guys money and be premium. At least that will make the asshole pay a little back for their own actions. And, if, after paying to rejoin, they keep being asses, don't let them join again.Yes, it isn't hard to go get a yahoo or hotmail account and then send in more money to you guys, just to be an ass. But, at the very least, you will be making money off of their assholishness. The asses will either: stop being asses, go broke, or fully fund TWW and then some. Hell, you could make an "Asshole section" to let them post stupid shit till their hearts' content.I think this solution is a win/win/win situation. This isn't a matter of people putting up extremely objectionably content, or a picture of themselves nastily naked, or a picture of a dismembered midget being anally raped by three fat albino sheep(that might be amusing, though). Its a matter of people being asses, annoying TWW community, and wasting your time and money.I hope you two will take this into serious consideration.Bryan Burroughs, aka aaronburroIf anyone else agrees with me, show your support by replying to this thread.[Edited on February 14, 2003 at 2:34 AM. sounds good... although might wanna make it at like say it applies to people over 20 posts or so, that way n00bs wont accidently screw up and pad without meaning to or something... i dunno, just an idea.

Terminate them then IP ban them. They can still access from different campus computers, but that requires work. Mainly for jephthah. He has padded in every single board. Here is one example:http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=87772[Edited on February 14, 2003 at 10:41 AM. Reason : pie]

IcedAlexV uses TWW from a host of campus computers in different locations. IP ban would do nothing.

actually I can't think of the last time i unsuspended anyone! there are lots of people suspended that i should just terminate.adding more moderators isn't going to help with dealing with that kind of padding. it only takes me 5 seconds to write a database delete command that cleans it right up. i'm not going to give that access to anyone. it would take a moderator forever to clean the stuff up manually.

having more moderators stops it before it starts and keeps the rest of us happy
