competition increases productivity

if productivity on here is going to be construed as the ceasing of stupid threads etc...then you have to make it competitive

therefore i propose you make a little thing that says thread of the week on the main page, and every week have someone's thread that was worthwhile up there

you may say it's futile, but most of these INTARNET people would have their day made by having that honor

It would have to be thread of the week, because if you did it by days, a thread could get as little as a few minutes in the spotlight if you're holding out for the best one, or could be cut off by another that's more "extraodinary".
