Hey guys, I know when new mail arrives, the inbox link at the top of the page turns green. I would like to suggest adding another visual indicator (maybe an astrisk, or a small image) when new mail arrives. Reason being is that the color-blind idiots like me have a hard time distinguishing between the red and green links. I basically just click on the inbox link whenever I want to know if I have new mail. That gets to be a pain sometimes. Thanks.

I have never heard that. Interesting. I usually have my speakers on. Maybe every time I've received mail, my speakers have been off.

Oh well, a small visual indicator would still be nice (especially for those unlucky souls who happen to be color blind and deaf )

Ah hah! I have "play sounds" turned off in my settings. I'm not going to change that, because I would seriously rather not hear the sounds.

Actually the sounds have only worked for me once and I have speakers on (duh!) and the sounds enabled. I guess it's broke for me.

Sounds don't always work for me. They do on my parents' computer, but on mine a window comes up that says something has failed, click ok, so that's my visual indicator.

well i changed the code behind it to use an <OBJECT> html tag instead of the <EMBED> tag i was using before. apparently the embed has been deprecated. however the damn object tag doesn't really seem to work for everyone, including myself. it worked with my old browser!

it should work now. i had put the object tag in the <HEAD> of the page so that it wouldn't show all of the media player and shit. apparently newer versions of IE didn't like that. now i just dropped it at the end of the page and it all seems to cooperate!
