which one should I get?

what can I do?

my life is pointless so I figure I might as well see what's going on in virtual reality, since nobody in reality is interested in associating with me

How can your life be pointless when you work for the critically important U.S. Postal Service. People need their Pottery Barn catalogs!

I got a quest 2 and the kids haven't played it for 2.5 years now. Hope that helps!

is there one better than that? or is that just the top-rated one

yeah, if they haven't touched it, it sounds like something that would just be sitting around for me too

though I have plenty of that

Just a heads up, for the Meta ones (these used to be Oculus before Facebook bought the company), you gotta have a Facebook account to use their software, which is very dumb. That being said, they are prob best bang for your buck. You can certainly get higher quality ones, but they are way more expensive.

On top of that, there is a lot of shovelware software/games. There are good ones too, but you have to do some research. Its kind of like the Wii back when it was really popular. A number of really good, fun, immersive games, and a mountain of absolute shit you have to sift through.

For the Quest, you’ll need to have Meta account now, not a fb account. They did have the fb requirement when the Q2 came out, but have since changed it.

I would definitely do metaquest. My son loves his games and I love pretending I'm at the beach instead of working.

ohhh, are there actually beach places that look realistic?

if you suggest since you suggested it Brooke, then I will probably follow suit with whatever you're going with

I had the meta 2 i think its model name was. Didn't like it, no good in a small apartment. Maybe they've gotten better since like 2021. I didn't particularly think it was all that great. I specifically bought from target die to 30 day return policy

^^^ absolutely. You can be in virtual reality pretty much anywhere. I go to the beach, throw an imaginary ball in the air and make it day or night, make it storm, make a palm tree grow. Sounds like the real thing. Very serene.
