I've got a 2023 Ford Maverick AWD with 600 miles on it. I'd like to put a 2" lift on it.
Rough Country makes the kit and I'm thinking about buying it.

Where would you get the kit installed?

because it has 8.6" of ground clearance and I'd like to drive it on the beach from time to time

so a small lift and some larger tires can bring me to 11 or 12" of ground clearance which should be adequate for the places I go

That's, like, the amount of ground clearance that a base Wrangler has. I can't imagine needing more ground clearance to drive on the beach.

Do you just add shock/strut tower spacers on top of the shock body or does it have them in with the spring?

theDuke866, yeah?

I'm gonna lose clearance when I air down but I'm not sure by how much

the way the Maverick rakes forward kinda fucks up the approach angle and the bumper is just expensive plastic -- not steel like I'm used to

I'm historically driving my 2001 Cherokee with a 4" lift and big tires on the beach but my wife won't ride in it
maybe I'm overestimating what I will need

I'll take the Maverick to the OBX next week and see how it goes

that front rake and the bits of the plastic front bumper just make me nervous being so close to the ground -- I reckon my friends' Subarus do alright out there and so should I

I could be wrong, but I really don't think you'll need it.

I'm gonna take it out there and give it a go this weekend. (Spending a week at the OBX to celebrate my 40th.)

It's typically the entry points to the beaches that have the loosest sand and biggest ruts. I'll go slow.

Lol I was so close to putting bigger tires and a lift/leveling kit on this. Had my wife convinced and everything. I still might do it. But, if I do, I'll recognize that I don't NEED it.

because my XJ doesn't have working AC, the footwells are too cramped for her comfort, and the rough suspension bounces her in ways she finds uncomfortable

so the Maverick did fine in the sand but with all the coastal flooding I encountered I still want the extra height
