Well, I can't speak for FL, but here in NC, yea sure rich people have a lot of beachy homes on barrier islands, but a lot of those homes are rented out throughout the year. And you know what? That generates a ton of tax revenue for the local economies. They're not going to let that revenue stream dry up. Not as long as the insurance companies and FEMA are bearing the weight of rebuilding after all the loss.
