Four out of the last five. Six* out of the last ten. So this is how it feels to be Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga? To be fair, Liverpool is a much better rival than Borussia Dortmund. Without Liverpool's competitive challenge, I doubt City would have reached as many 90+ season point totals.

With Erling's goal scoring next season, we can build on our domestic dynasty and finally secure the Champions League trophy that City's owners and all but the most deluded fans crave.

*One more PL trophy than Chelsea.

Sounds like the work of TWW. Anyone remember the News14 school closing free-for-all?

Quote :
"The BBC has apologised after a message appeared on screen reading “Manchester United are rubbish”.

The line popped up on the BBC News ticker at the bottom of the screen during a tennis update on the 9am to 10am broadcast. Later in the morning, the presenter Annita McVeigh apologised to any Manchester United fans who may have been offended, saying the mistake had occurred as someone was learning how to operate the ticker and was “writing random things not in earnest”. Predictions for today's game? I predict a 3-2 Real Madrid victory, with Benzema scoring an 89th minute winner.

I hear that neither Haaland nor Nunez likes to press. here's hoping Haaland has a hissy-fit meltdown in response to Pep's demands for a high workrate, and ends up getting benched for half the season.

it could happen. Pep is capable of some idiotic decisions, like playing de Bruyne up top in the 2021 champions league final with Gundogan as the CDM. and big City transfers have been known to underperform - the club doesn't seem to mind wasting $100 million since they're sitting on a huge mountain of oil money. so it could happen. whereas I generally trust Klopp to spend money intelligently.

I'd rather have Haaland, but I hold out hope that his potential will go up in flames whereas Nunez will once again vindicate Klopp's transfer judgment.

Chelsea are close to signing Raphinha from Leeds, transfer fee has been agreed and close on personal terms.

Said to be close on getting Raheem Sterling from City.

Their primary CB target is Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus, they are said to be keen on Pulisic (with McKennie there thats not a surprise) but Chelsea prefer sending them Werner since he wages are higher.

^The way this window is going that will be the one signing Chelsea make, a guy who won't press playing for a manager that pretty much only presses.

Chelsea's new owners especially the person who is the face of the group is getting bullied by the European blue bloods. They are trying to make the club overpay for players and pay insane wages primarily because that was how they used to do business. I know they want 6 signings and 2 need to be Central defenders. So far they have no official transfers in.

On another note it appears Benjamin Mendy and Gylfi Sigurrdson have company on the PL Rapist team. Some foreign player in the North London area has been accused of sexual assault of 3 different persons. All thats known is he is 29, has a residence in Barnet (North London), and is on a national team that Qualified for World Cup. The only players that meet the criteria are Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Heung-Min Son, Ben Davies, Lucas Moura. I am sure they name will get out eventually and these are big named players so if any are missing it won't be hard to put 2 and 2 togther. But Sigurrdson pretty much got memory holed last season.

48. Christian Pulisic: 23, FW, Chelsea

He's yet to play more than 51% of the Premier League minutes in a given season for Chelsea. But being a rotation attacker on a top-4 and Champions League-winning team still earns you a spot in the top 50. To move up, he'll need to stay healthy and increase his attacking production when he does get out there. In Pulisic's first season with Chelsea, he averaged 0.61 expected goals+assists per 90 minutes, but that's slumped down to 0.44 (slightly above average for his position) over the past two seasons. Like we said with Rashford, though: development is almost never linear.

1. Mohamed Salah: 30, FW, Liverpool

It's not that, over the past year, he leads all wingers across Europe in non-penalty xG, shots, xG+xA, touches inside the penalty area, and progressive passes received. Nor is it that no one in the Premier League scored more goals or created more assists than he did last season. No, the main thing is that he's just always out there.

Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2017, Salah had played 85% of the available league minutes. To put that into context, he's played 14,901 league minutes over that stretch -- nearly 500 minutes more than any other attacker in Europe's Big Five leagues. So, you're getting a player who's been available to impact matches more often than any other attacker, and despite the massive minutes load, he's averaged 0.88 goals+assists per 90 minutes across his entire Liverpool career -- roughly equivalent to Son's career-best and Vinicius Jr.'s breakout-season at Real Madrid rates from this past year.

You could argue that there are a couple of players who impact matches more than Salah when they're on the field. But in terms of being on the field and being able to provide that impact? No one else comes anywhere close.
