guardians is a meh name imo but at least they no longer have a racist mascot.

feels like they wanted to do as little change as possible...let's keep the font, the logo style, and the "dians" part of the name.

Apparently Cleveland has some big statues called guardians and that's where the name came from.

Muh Braves, and muh Chiefs are next.

I always thought those names were rather positive in connotation. Like “hell yeah, I’m a chief”, or “hell yeah I’m Brave”. Certainly better than a red faced indian logo of the Indians or Redskins.

But I am a honky, and I should respect other folks that might have a different interpretation.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.
