Featuring the expat Blue Jays, who are gonna be the first team to use an alternate home site because of government regulations since the 1930-32 Red Sox.I've heard they're considering Charlotte's BB&T Field Truist Field (when did that happen?) as a place to go, but I doubt that'll happenMaybe this'll be the year I finally get into MLB
7/23/2020 10:28:59 AM
Well they got kicked out by Pennsylvania after agreed into play in PNC in Pittsburgh
7/23/2020 10:30:53 AM
Also apparently the Indians are consulting native Americans about changing their name
7/23/2020 12:11:52 PM
they should postpone tonight’s game, but I doubt they will
7/23/2020 3:44:58 PM
^why
7/23/2020 4:25:22 PM
Soto tested positive and didn’t get his results until today, meaning he was around his entire team all week before testing positive
7/23/2020 4:27:47 PM
Fuck just saw this. Obviously playing but wow
7/23/2020 7:29:19 PM
Kyle Hendricks is the most fun pitcher to watch in MLB.
7/25/2020 7:58:39 AM
Hendricks was crazy good last night

Don’t wanna be a overly dramatic but with the news of 14 total covid cases in the marlins clubhouse...I can’t see this season finishing. We’re less than a week in and one clubhouse already has a significant outbreak. Bringing back sports while the pandemic is at such a peak in the US was maybe not the best idea.
7/27/2020 9:40:16 AM
Yeah, Marlins just canceled their game with the Orioles too
7/27/2020 10:19:12 AM
I don't think we see a total shutdown non finish. I think some teams will just not finish the season.
7/27/2020 10:50:47 AM
So the Marlins had 3 positive tests and the team voted to play the game anyways? Did they let the Phillies in on this vote? Didn't even make it 1 week without a full-on shit-show. Saw some doctors suggesting the Phillies quarantine for "at least 5 days". Looking like the "bubble" model might be the only way we have professional sports this year.
7/27/2020 11:27:18 AM
of course that’s the only way, and even that isn’t full proof
7/27/2020 11:51:41 AM
7/27/2020 1:10:14 PM
foolproof*, goddammitautocorrect got me good there
7/27/2020 1:20:56 PM
I'm curious if the reaction would be the same if the Yankees or Dodgers (or other teams that are projected to be championship contenders) had this happen to them
7/27/2020 3:22:17 PM
This is how i expect nba to go. Every few days I bet there is a new report of outbreaks, and players say man f this
7/27/2020 6:53:46 PM
At least the nba is trying the bubble thing and there seem to be some accountability involved. I don’t see how a non-bubble model would work. ^^ I’m not sure I follow. Do you think people would be more or less concerned if it happened with the Yankees?
7/27/2020 8:20:17 PM
some of the sentiment I'm seeing is that it's just the Marlins and Orioles, so postponing their games or even canceling their seasons if this outbreak continues in the locker room isn't such a big deal because they didn't have high expectations this year. If the Yankees clubhouse saw an outbreak and Judge, Stanton and Sanchez were out for a week or two to recover I feel like the outcry to cancel the season would be stronger
7/28/2020 7:29:29 AM
I gotcha, that makes sense.
7/28/2020 8:05:56 AM
the Nats just voted against going to Miami for a series against the Marlins this weekend
