Very bizarre, but I loved it.

Also I have yet to figure out the difference between HBO original shows, and HBO Max shows, other than the HBOO ones being released one per week, and HBOM shows being dumped all at once, or multiple per week.

I don't like it, I feel like I should so I keep watching but I just realized there are 10 eps and I've only watched 5, not sure i have the patience.

The combo of Android acting and child acting is also a tough one. The themes are very heavy handed. And just one scene, but the soldiers marching in place changing "WAR WAR WAR" was just silly. This is just a nit but, but the wide range of accents for the kids born Kepler is annoying.

I liked the first ep, they should have just added a little more and made a movie. I love that more artists are trying tv but too often that means they stretch out 3-4 hrs of content into 10 hours.

Mare of Easttown is great. 7 episode series, great pacing.

^I actually really enjoyed it, but I do get that it's a little long and very over-hyped.

Certain songs/storylines I enjoyed more than others, but solid soundtrack overall. Definitely doesn't hold a candle to Hamilton, but you can certainly see LMM's style in the music/lyrics.

Tony's are done yearly, yet we only see "great" new musicals every 5 or so years. Take Tony's with a grain of salt.

In The Heights was just okay. Catchy beginning songs, though it struggles a bit throughout. Too many camera cuts during group dance sequences. College girl character did not even try to lip sing. To much auto-tune. Dangling plot points (what is the dad going to do since he basically sold his life's work?). Better than many other musical-becomes-movie (e.g. Rent), though that does not say much.

Haha, not for me. I just binged the whole thing in a little over 24 hours. Thought it was really good. Felt extremely similar, and basically like an American take/remake of Broadchurch. If you liked Mare I’d highly recommend that one, it’s on Netflix now.

we went to see the Anthony Bourdain film in theaters over the weekend. It's very well done. It's an HBO Max film, so i suspect it will be on the app in a few weeks.
