ok now fix the uniforms that nike fucked all to hell
4/21/2020 6:26:01 PM
there’s never been much to fix. they’ve always been just ok. hoping that this could be the year they buy this logo from the dude who designed itwish SC wasn’t included, tho[Edited on April 21, 2020 at 6:31 PM. Reason : bought a sweatshirt from him with that design that ruuuules]
4/21/2020 6:30:12 PM
eh nike fucked up the stripe on the pants and made the TV numbers ridiculously tiny.the stripes used to taper to a point, now they still taper but just end at the bottom of the leg. like keep it the same or just make them straight stripes. what they have now is worse than either of those options.also need to bring back the silver pants. black over silver is the teams best look.]

his full site:http://hellomattstevens.com/blog/daydream-rebrand-carolina-panthers-hidden-historyI always chuckled at Kyle Allen’s extra extra small number on his shoulderpad

Given that the Panthers don't really have "throwback" unform since we've never really changed it up, I'd like to see this year as the year we break out these bad boys. All jokes aside we may actually get the black helmets for all black, which would be awesome.
4/21/2020 9:03:48 PM
To continue from other thread, I think the Panthers and most of the fanbase wants Simmons. Don't see him falling to 7 but maybe teams get QB happy and we get lucky.IMO Bridgewater is a two year fix and NFL average starter. Brady at Tampa and Brees at NO. We're looking at 6-10 next two years with the best RB in football.
4/21/2020 10:27:22 PM
Lol Brady is washed up. And Brees could very well fall off a cliff at any moment. Panthers offense should be fine, it all depends on the defense.
4/21/2020 10:41:35 PM
Right. Last I heard the NFL was discussing getting rid of the 1 shell rule. Not sure it's gonna be this year, but it's at least on the table. As for Brady, I'm not sure. His offensive options in NE last year were pretty thin. He's gonna have Chris Godwin as a very good receiving option, plus Mike Evans who's a pretty solid no. 2/medium good WR. Not to mention Gronk. Keep in mind that the TE spot is an easy safety-release valve for a QB in a new system, and one you've got a good connection with is invaluable. Plus, the Buc's o-line is not shabby. PFF ranks them 7th best in the NFL this coming year
4/21/2020 11:17:10 PM
mike evans is a #1 NFL WR. he has never not had 1000 yards receiving in his career. in no way is he a "solid no. 2/medium good WR". yes, godwin outgained him last year, but the year before evans nearly doubled his yardage total. they are both legitimate #1 wrs, although i'd still take evans over godwin. i'd put evans on a very short list of the best wrs in the nfl, behind only guys like hopkins, thomas and ol' nutjob brown.you can buy the brady in TB hype, but i'm not. he's going to be a 43 year old qb learning a new offense for the 1st time in his career. yes, his starting WRs will be the best in the league. Gronk is an overrated addition at this point. He wasn't the old gronk in 2018. now he's joining a coach who historically doesn't use tight ends as receivers. Arians isn't going to change his entire offensive philosophy now. He didn't do it to feature OJ Howard (better 2018 than Gronk despite missing 6 games) even though he was a rising star and will now in all likelihood be traded. they're gonna pay Gronk 9 million to split blocking duties with Cameron Brate.
4/22/2020 12:49:02 AM
They're going to be learning his offense you would think
4/22/2020 11:54:20 AM
4/22/2020 3:26:56 PM
OMG! The Panthers will be practicing in Rock Hill! How will I ever get to step out of my cushy condo in downtown Charlotte and watch them practice again?
4/22/2020 5:29:39 PM
4/22/2020 6:45:00 PM
he wont be bad but he wont make us goodthis franchise is still stuck in the 1960 "stop the run run the ball" bullshit it has been since stephen davis
4/23/2020 9:10:49 PM
Got Derrick Brown.Thought we'd go for Isaiah Simmons personally
4/23/2020 9:12:33 PM
We're getting Simmons[Edited on April 23, 2020 at 9:12 PM. Reason : Oops]
4/23/2020 9:12:38 PM
maybe the hurney magic makes him legit instead of just lotuleilei pt2
4/23/2020 9:14:59 PM
Was hoping for Simmons
4/23/2020 9:15:17 PM
I’m happy with Brown
4/23/2020 9:18:15 PM
im just going to pretend hes going to be kris jenkins nowwhich, we got jenkins in the 3rd round, but w/e
4/23/2020 9:21:21 PM
Potential superstar with Simmons available and we don't take him.Fuck this franchise. Downgraded from Cam to Teddy, face Brady/Brees/Ryan six games a year.Gonna be a long 3-4 years.
4/23/2020 9:23:06 PM
nahI’m upset with how they handled the Cam situation, but that doesn’t mean I’m afraid of anyone in the division for the next 3-4 years[Edited on April 23, 2020 at 9:28 PM. Reason : one pick won’t ruin a franchise, either]
4/23/2020 9:27:51 PM
Panthers had everything fall into place with 2 of the top 3 defensive players falling to them. Can't blame them for going Brown over Simmons, DT is the thinnest position on the team by far. Fully expect them to continue drafting defenders tomorrow.[Edited on April 23, 2020 at 9:41 PM. Reason : FWIW, ESPN had Brown #3 on their board and Simmons #4][Edited on April 23, 2020 at 9:41 PM. Reason : I think it is very possible Hurney is an ESPN+ subscriber and just went off that]
4/23/2020 9:40:23 PM
gonna be nice not watching horrible running teams destroy us week after week
4/23/2020 9:41:57 PM
i wasnt really sold on simmons either tbh although if he works out he obviously makes way more sense in todays nfl than a run stopping dtlike im sure this dude is going to fuck up brady and brees who get the ball out before he even gets out of his stance lmao
4/23/2020 9:52:19 PM
seems like a lot of Simmons fans think he would've replaced Luke or something? he was Thomas Davis, not Luke Kuechly.
4/23/2020 9:54:18 PM
Seriously, are there any other DTs currently on the roster besides Short? And he's 31 and coming off a torn rotator cuff.
4/23/2020 10:06:47 PM
https://thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=606881&page=19great night to post this thread/page from the night we drafted Cam
4/23/2020 10:13:02 PM
face really hated cam. Probably because he's racist.
4/23/2020 10:49:30 PM
There's just enough good, round 1 quality players available that a couple should still be on the board at 38. Maybe more than a couple
4/24/2020 12:56:16 AM
definitely forgot that the draft started last night.
4/24/2020 6:22:36 AM
I think most people who liked Simmons liked his versatility more than anything, hoping he could be something like a defensive Josh Cribbs/Taysom Hill, just throwing him all over the field and creating confusion for the offense. But regardless I like the Brown pick. Not a super flashy or pretty pick, but a VERY necessary pick given our swiss cheese-like run blocking last year.
4/24/2020 9:52:30 AM
^Simmons seems like a more talented Minka Fitzpatrick or Jabril Peppers. Brown is the safer pick, with Simmons you're going to have to figure out how to use him effectively to maximize him, with Brown you just plug him in at DT or NT. Wonder if our DC just didn't know how Simmons would fit in his scheme?I think Simmons has the higher ceiling but we have so many holes on D you can't really be upset about landing Brown who was considered the "clear" top DT in the draft. Rest of the draft should be all defense, we still need DE, LB, CB, and S, haha.
4/24/2020 10:46:45 AM
Should be a good corner still on the board at 38, Fulton or Diggs would be fine with me
4/24/2020 4:27:14 PM
Hell, the Panthers still need another DT. This whole draft should just be best defensive player available regardless of position.]
4/24/2020 4:32:30 PM
Got Yuter Gross-Matos, EDGE out of Penn State
4/24/2020 7:37:52 PM
fine with that pickstill think theres a lot of talent available, wouldnt hate a trade back into the 2nd although hurney would probably spend it on app states qb
4/24/2020 7:46:01 PM
There's been a lot of talk of teams inquiring about Samuel. If a trade happens today/tomorrow to move up, I'd expect it to involve him.
4/24/2020 7:52:40 PM
id keep samuel at this point, pretty much all the top wrs (except rhule's boy) are gone now and bradys offense needs a lot of them
4/24/2020 7:58:03 PM
I mean the Panthers have signed at least 3 4 free agent WRsRobby AndersonPharoh CooperKeith KirkwoodSeth RobertsIf they can get a decent return for a guy who is going to be at best the #3 receiver (which means #4/5 on the team for targets), I say do it. ]
4/24/2020 7:59:33 PM
we have the 69th pick
4/24/2020 8:14:58 PM
looks like we traded up to 64
4/24/2020 9:35:02 PM
took a safetybad news for juston burris, although if im being honest im not too upset about that after watching burris for us
4/24/2020 9:36:13 PM
gave Seattle 69 and 148 in exchange for 64
4/24/2020 9:55:02 PM
^^i don't think it's really bad news. He's not gonna get cut because they drafted this guy. He seems to be one of those multi-position guys and Burris probably wasn't going to be a starter anyways
4/24/2020 10:34:57 PM
From Jordan Rodrigue (Panthers reporter for The Athletic)
4/24/2020 11:07:21 PM
^is that good in your opinion?
4/24/2020 11:45:14 PM
uh, nickel is a corner
4/25/2020 12:22:55 AM
no, nickel is a defensive back, not a corner.
4/25/2020 12:35:20 AM
