Alt history show on Apple on if the US had lost the Space Race...anyone watching?

I really like this show, at times its maybe tried to he too much but overall it's really good. That last episode... really want to know what happens next
12/14/2019 9:15:37 PM
Yeah, that really came out of nowhere. NASA having essentially 4 missions in a row go to shit? I'm saying the Russians will help out and there will be another time jump at the end of the season
12/14/2019 9:51:05 PM
This show is really good, great season finaleI hope apple does a second season

I've been watching and enjoying this, only a few more episodes left but if Apple wants their streaming service to succeed it needs to be more readily available. I have two smart TVs and Apple TV+ isn't available on either of them. I have to watch on my laptop in my living room which I don't care about, but I feel like the average person isn't gonna want to do that.

^I have Apple TV+ on my Firestick and can just plug it into any of my TVs in the house and watch just fine.

also available on roku and some smart tv's

^^^^I watch on my Apple TV device. Hadn't checked availability on my Firesticks but I'm sure its there.

Season 2 has grown on me a lot. Even though they aren't in space too much, theyre doing a good job with these earth-based storylines I think. It does seem like their target audience is older people though...

I'm a big fan of S2.SPOILERAlso, bummed about that recent death END SPOILER
4/6/2021 12:27:25 PM
I fucking LOVE this show. I hope we get at least a season 3
4/21/2021 11:49:38 PM
I like space stuff.
4/22/2021 1:06:50 PM
Season 2 ending was phenomenal. They tease season 3 too, could be the best yet.
4/25/2021 6:21:58 PM
Finished S2 last week. Great show and pretty good about being scientifically accurate too. It does make me said that the Apollo program was canceled in 1973 though .
7/1/2021 2:54:44 PM
I have started watching this and so far I am enjoying it. The pacing of the first four episodes has been all over the place. I do like that they aren't creating a bunch of back home sexual drama, it all seems realistic and grounded.
7/12/2021 9:52:45 AM
Minus that one plot line, S2 was fantastic
12/25/2021 8:29:49 PM
I watched Seasons 1 & 2 over the past couple weeks. I enjoyed it. I'm nostalgic for the glory days of the Space Program when I wasn't even alive. Can't explain it.It's interesting to see some of the real history mixed in out-of-sequence.- Reagan elected in 1976 instead of 1980- There really was an Apollo-Soyuz mission with a handshake in space and an androgynous docking systemhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo%E2%80%93Soyuz- The Soviets really did shoot down Korean Air 007https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Air_Lines_Flight_007- There really was a Buran shuttle programhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buran_%28spacecraft%29The Soviets / Russia are definitely the champs at shooting down commercial flights.

Also new plot lines for real people like Deke Slayton and Sally Ride.I guess that despite their many other disasters, they caught the O-Ring problem before Challenger blew up in this continuity.I also guess none of what I previously posted is going to be new info for space nerds or NASA employees like Wraith.Yo, what's the latest delayed expectation for Artemis crewed moon landing?
3/21/2022 9:46:11 AM
Reagan was elected? THE ACTOR??
3/21/2022 10:52:51 AM
Hard to believe. They should at least try to keep this borderline believable.
3/21/2022 1:16:17 PM
Artemis I just rolled out for wet dress rehearsal. Pictures all over the place on that. I haven't worked SLS since 2018, but I put 8 years of work into it so pretty pumped about it. In terms of next person walking on the moon? That would be Artemis III. 2024 was never going to happen, I think the official expected launch date is now 2025 but even that is optimistic.

I really hope they return to more realistic scifi rather than the fever dream that Pathfinder/Buran was
4/13/2022 6:54:32 AM
I hope they don't have any more lame romantic side plots.

Good first episode[Edited on June 13, 2022 at 10:05 AM. Reason : .]
6/13/2022 10:05:19 AM
Sucks Ed got a lil racist
6/17/2022 10:23:50 PM
Aging and frustrated white man becomes less guarded with his racist statements? Never seen that before.+1 for Harambe, though. Writers probably had a good chuckle about that.I was disappointed to find out it's only one episode per week. I was ready to binge it this weekend and only got two episodes.]
6/19/2022 6:37:32 AM
They're really going to double down on that story line, huh?
6/19/2022 2:46:04 PM
Apparently, but now she old.
6/19/2022 3:07:35 PM
At this point she's in her 60s. Is there not some kind of psychological test they'd give this kid that would uncover his psychological obsessions? Also, he's getting jealous of Ed? Her ex husband? Who she was married to before he was even born? Weird that they would go for that for this season, but okay. Is the kid gonna try and kill Ed on Mars or something dumb like that?
6/20/2022 1:46:46 AM
The Astronaut Corps is much larger and his parents were famous, so I can see it falling through the cracks. I mean they already said he was an alcoholic at some point and he still got to go to the moon. The trailer shows Ed swinging at him.
6/20/2022 9:51:02 AM
Season 3 Episode 3 was kind of plodding and domestic, but cool closing montage fo sho.
6/25/2022 9:25:45 AM
They kinda had to do a setup episode with the time jump.
6/25/2022 10:25:39 AM
That's true. Not really a complaint, but a comment. Also, Danny is a confirmed nut.
6/25/2022 11:06:40 AM
I don’t really like how they just brushed over the woman was basically a spy… seems like that should have been a bigger deal?
6/27/2022 10:46:59 AM
Yeah, the Margo story line and Danny story line are really stretching plausibility
6/27/2022 11:29:12 AM
^Well they did skip forward 2 years. So it went from them giving her their blackmail offer straight to the Soviets launching successfully, so clearly she cooperated. I'm just surprised that she allowed herself to end up in that situation. She's smarter than that. But then again, wouldn't be surprised if the data that she fed them had some kind of critical design flaw to mess up their mission.
6/27/2022 11:33:19 AM
Also, did the Russians launch their entire ship at once?
6/27/2022 12:03:23 PM
Russian ship looks most phallic.
6/27/2022 7:22:13 PM
They’ve been working on the Margo blackmail storyline for nearly all of season 2, it’s clear how she got into the situation and how it could still be a secret.
6/27/2022 7:23:29 PM
The only part of the Danny storyline I don’t like is that he’s pining for a woman twice his ago but he’s got mommy issues so…The rest of his behavior is just him Taking on Gordo’s traits
6/27/2022 7:26:11 PM
Sorry, I meant how he is assigned a mission. Like it was already kind of stretching it that he was on the NASA mission with a history of alcoholism and psych issues, but sure, he is Gordos son and some how saved the space hotel (which was wildly unrealistic physics wise). So he gets caught drunk, gets yanked from a NASA mission, and ends up on Helios? Dude is just a massive liability.
6/27/2022 8:07:44 PM
Ah. Agreed
