I remember watching this coverage when I was a kid, and when the trailer came out my first thought was that he was the bomber. That's how bad the media and the FBI did this guy.

This is a great story that needs to be told but I've lost 99% of my faith in Clint Eastwood having any nuance in his movies.

...and just based on that very first screen shot of Richard Jewell's face in the trailer makes me think the acting will be just as bad as in Gran Torino.

Did Clint really make up the entire AJC journalist (Kathy Scruggs) fucking the FBI agent for info? She died back in 2001. I looked online and her family was furious that they fabricated this part of the story.

The guy who played Richard Jewell was perfectly cast.
