Nope, just trying to impress a bunch of random strangers onlineIn all seriousness though, I do like the pre-season games. I like the HoF game for hearing about the history of the game, and all the pre-season games have a kind of excitement to them, sure the quality's not as good as what it could be but I like seeing the players try to make the roster and compete[Edited on August 3, 2019 at 9:39 PM. Preseason NFL football is awful.Game 1: 2nd and 3rd stringers play. Rookies learn the ins and outs of pro football.Game 2: 1st string may play a quarter or 1 series. 2nd and 3rd stringers play the restGame 3: 1st string may play a whole half.Game 4: No starters play. Scrubs have their last shot to make a roster.Games are mostly meaningless and you can't determine how your team will perform on the season. It sucks that the player's union won't agree to an 18 game regular season. A 2 game preseason and an 18 game regular season would be more enjoyable for the fans.
8/6/2019 2:08:42 PM
Why are they going to voluntarily sign up for 2 more games without getting things in return
8/6/2019 2:14:04 PM
I agree with their motives. It would be like your boss asking you to work a few extra weekends a year for the same salary. More stress/chance of injury, with extra income going into the owner's pocket.
8/6/2019 2:28:27 PM
but you think it sucks the players union is against it?

Glennon looked like Glennon in the 1st half of the Raiders Rams game17/25, 200 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT
8/10/2019 10:58:04 PM
Why does Antonio Brown have such a problem with the approved helmets?
8/12/2019 4:49:18 PM
I can't find specifics. Only this.
8/12/2019 5:18:21 PM
Yeah, my guess is it limits his field of view compared to the older helmet
8/12/2019 5:26:34 PM
My guess is he's just being a drama queen.

8/12/2019 10:12:20 PM
or he’s trying to deflect the attention from his frozen feet
8/12/2019 11:32:07 PM
Find out, on HBO HARD KNOCKS TM]
8/13/2019 12:55:47 AM
Plenty of speculation that AB is trying to deflect the conversation from his feet.Apparently Justin Gatlin had the same injury and said AB wouldn't be able to run for "months". Think AB and his crew are trying to delay because if the Raiders confirm that he can't play because of a non-football injury then it can void his contract.
8/13/2019 8:27:31 AM
I just wish they would stop reporting it as "extreme frostbite". Extreme frostbite would mean he'd have to have his feet amputated.
8/13/2019 9:21:03 PM
Glennon and Finley both playing well tonight

Lamar Miller maybe tore acl
8/24/2019 10:17:32 PM
Don't really get all the criticism of the Indy fans for booing. I don't think this happens if he does this any time other time than less than two weeks before the season after being reassured the whole time he's gonna play.I mean if this happens in May or right after he gets hurt again they'd never have done that
8/25/2019 12:03:48 PM
It's weak as fuck to boo your own player for making a different life choice.
8/25/2019 12:11:47 PM
especially when that life choice is choosing your health and well-being over destroying your bodyfuck every single selfish asshole for booing/complaining about doing what’s best for him
8/25/2019 12:22:57 PM
8/25/2019 12:33:22 PM
Not saying its cool to do it but I get it if you're there at a game and all the while you've been told he's gonna come back and play the season and you get an alert he's retiring now right before the season you might be a little irked in the moment.
8/25/2019 1:39:55 PM
The fans should be booing the front office in that case, not Luck. They're the ones that have been saying he's fine. Hell the owner has even said he's not sure this retirement will last.I really have no problem with how Luck handled this. His intention was to tell his teammates yesterday and have a press conference today, but in this age of social media, somebody in that colts locker room just had to be the guy to give that info up early. The Colts should have been preparing for this for years (I'm not really sure they have, since Brissett is on the final year of his contract) because it's been clear Luck has had issues coming back from injury. Honestly this retirement isn't as surprising as everyone has made it out to be. I saw a tweet that said this is now the most surprising retirement ever, even more so than Jim Brown. O couldn't disagree more. This isn't even as surprising as Megatron.]
8/25/2019 1:42:04 PM
it takes a special kind of asshole to stay til the end of a preseason game just to boo a guy who gave you everything he had[Edited on August 25, 2019 at 1:44 PM. Reason : .]
8/25/2019 1:43:26 PM
oops
8/25/2019 5:48:55 PM
I live in Indiana now, the less rabid fans are kinda "you want to retire, okay, why did you wait til right before the season starts to do it?"
8/26/2019 4:55:44 PM
The Colts have apparently heard rumors that he was going to retire for months. I guess they are fine with Brissett moving forward for now at least. Teams don't exactly have the money to sign a $20M+/year QB when they're already paying another QB $20+M a year]
8/26/2019 6:51:07 PM
So their best case was what, pay a fortune for Joe Flacco?I'm a Denver fan, I hate that he's the QB.
8/26/2019 8:15:06 PM
^^sources on “for months”? Most earliest I’ve heard is 2 weeks, around the time the explanation changed to “little bone” in his leg rather than calf. Most reports I’ve read say in the last 10 days. Months is a bit of exaggeration.
8/26/2019 10:33:07 PM
not sure what you're looking for, other than rumors, but some said the Colts have known since Marchhttps://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/08/24/rumors-fly-that-colts-knew-about-andrew-lucks-potential-retirement-in-march/[Edited on August 26, 2019 at 11:44 PM. Reason : correct link]
8/26/2019 11:41:41 PM
Thanks for the link. I just thought all the articles/sources I had read said in the last 10-14 days Luck had made this decision. When you said for months, I thought that was a bit of hyperbole, but perhaps not.
8/27/2019 12:54:45 AM
I don't know the timetable but it definitely sounds like it wasn't a total surprise to some in the Colts organization

Fairly rusty first half for a lot of these guys, if only there were a 3rd preseason game for them to play a few series in
