I'm going to post some shows that are really good that I think more people should watch, but probably aren't popular enough for their own threads

I Think You Should Leave is a Netflix sketch show (6 eps, 20 min each) that was hyped a little on social media and lived up to it. Stats Tim Robinson from snl. But the breekout star is an old Italian guy.

Pure (2017-2019)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6257298/
"Pure" tells the story of Noah Funk, a newly-elected Mennonite pastor, who is determined to rid his community of drug traffickers by betraying a fellow Mennonite to the police.

Pure is a Canadian television drama series that first aired on CBC Television in January and February 2017,[1] and subsequently on Super Channel. The show stars Ryan Robbins as Noah Funk, a Mennonite pastor working undercover within an organized crime network in order to clean up a drug trafficking problem in his community.[2] The show also stars A. J. Buckley, Peter Outerbridge, Alex Paxton-Beesley, and Rosie Perez.[3]

--

it's not nearly as complex or good as breaking bad, but it has a little bit of that feel. the 1st season is only 6 episodes, so it's very easy to watch. other than rosie perez' bad accent, it's pretty good. also, it has cory from trailer park boys.

Watched the premiere of Perpetual Grace, LTD on epix last night. Solid cast (Ben Kingsley, Jimmi Simpson, Terry O'Quinn and Kurtwood Smith) so the acting is great and the story is pretty intriguing. Definitely will stick with it to see where it goes

I thought that they explored the concept of having an independent as a president with the Dems and the GOP still in power very well.

Acting was also top notch and the writing was on point.

Except toward the end, they had his arc acting more and more like a politician in order to win the next election.

I felt that he handled the show's conflicts very well as an independent president, and I think that they only way we would ever have an independent president is to have the exact same scenario in the show, which would of course be devastating.

Designated survivor could never decide if they wanted to be a deep state conspiracy show or an attempt at remaking west wing

If you liked it, definitely check out Occupied on Netflix

I always saw the deep state conspiracy shit as an entertaining plot device to expose the hypocrisy of both the republican and democratic parties.

For those that have Apple TV+:

Still watching Truth Be Told, but really enjoying it.

I didn't expect much out of See but I ended up enjoying it. Had to turn my brain off a bit, as most post-apocalyptic shows require, but Momoa is just so likeable and the fight sequences are fun.

^we just got through season 1 and the two special episodes, haven’t started season 2 yet. It’s decent but I don’t love it. Generally the jokes just don’t seem to hit all that hard for me.

Don’t know if it was ever mentioned here, but watching Wayne on Amazon prime and really enjoying it, definitely recommend. Has a similar feel and story to End of the F***ing World on Netflix.

More people should have watched Last Man on Earth so it wasn't cancelled. That show was great.

Same with Lodge 49. That was one of my favorite shows ever... then it got cancelled after a cliffhanger finale of the second season.
