Bought a 2,000 lumen projector to try out some projection mapping for xmas and it's just not enough juice to be visible outside. Open to borrowing/renting... Ideally need a throw ratio of .7:1, but anything under 1:1 would work.

do some research on detailed projector reviews and how manufacturers generally are all over the place on their lumen ratings - only a few under rate such as epson

how much light are you dealing with? time of day? how much shade?

why you are watching is important also and how many dark scenes there will be - in general sports or anything animated work better in the daylight than just about any movie

It will be night time, on about 25-30 ft area... and I got over-eager and just bought an Epson Europe EB-G5200W on ebay. 4,2000 lumens. Fingers crossed it is decent.

I practiced with a ~3200 lumen regular throw projector and it looked good. I'm assuming this Epson will be brighter and cover more area.

Anyone want to by my Epson PowerLite 410W LCD that I no longer need? make me an offer.
